Diverticulitis every week

hi i go through diverticulitis pain once a week i am looking at trying the Mentha XL capsules but not sure what else to do i fainted from the pain last night and the ambulance came but i felt better after i vomited a few times dont know what to do i went to a specialist and was told to use them and and just stay away from nuts and popcorn i am careful about what i eat and i use metamucil every day this is very complicated for can anyone give me some advice please
