Diverticulitis Question

Hello...needing some advice / reassurance. Dealing with my second bout of diverticulitis and while the significant pain has subsided via antibiotics, I am still having abdomen discomfort (feel boated), back pain, and bowel movements that seem to be abnormal. I had a ct scan done and doctors are convinced that this is just diverticulitis but how long can it take to feel normal again? Going on close to a week now since pain has subsided. Is there anything I can take to help? Any insight is appreciated. Thanks.
