Diverticulitis reoccurring

i was diagnosed with diverticulitis and given a 5 day course of Augmentin. The day after I finished taking the pills, the familiar pain and nausea was back again. I returned to the ER where a CT scan showed that the first spot had healed but that I now had diverticulitis in a new spot. I cant understand why it would develop in a second spot with Augmentin in my system. Has anyone else experienced this? Also, I always have pain prior to bowel movements. Today is day 3 of the second round of Augmentin.
