Is it painful? Or just noticeable?

I had an emergency surgery for this that resulted in a temporary colostomy til I can be reconnected in October, and 5 months later I still get "phantom" feelings, like when my stool is about to go in the bag it feels like I need to poop at my rectum (sometimes so much I need to sit on the toilet).

I have heard everyone is different with how long their brain recognizes phantom pain or sensations, I'd be very interested to hear more specifically what you feel if you don't mind?
