why is my stomach still hard and swollen after having colonoscopy and told i had diverticulosis

    How long ago was it done? Maybe lots of gas they may have used doing the test.

      HI I HAD IT DONE ON MONDAY MORNING IT IS NORMALLY WHEN I FIRST WAKE UP I CAN STILL FEEL THE SWELLING ON THE LEFT SIDE OF STOMACH BUT ONCE I GET UP I CANT FEEL THE SWELLING SO MUCH BUT STOMACH IS STILL HARD

      I would say go ahead and call your doctor and explain it to them so they can advise you and ease your mind, your doctor would know best and plus you could call the department that performed it and see what they say as well..

      HI THANKYOU FOR YOUR HELP BUT SPOKE TO MY FRIEND WHO HAD THE SAME THING AND WAS TOLD TO GET COLPERMIN IBS RELIEF WHICH WORKED FOR HER SO WILL GIVE THEM A GO. X

    My last colonoscopy was 15 months ago as a routine follow-up. I had a diverticular flare-up afterwards, caused by the mechanical trauma of the scope in my colon. Maneuvering the scope through the colon, particularly the sigmoid flexure, can trigger a reaction. Moving forward, I will always go on liquids for a period afterwards to mitigate that happening again!
