DIVI DINERS

Returning from a hospital session of Drips and Deprevation (food) I was handed a Low Residue diet to follow. Scant in products, and information what to do with said products, I searced the web for more information,
onlt to find contradictory eat's and don't eats, so I thought that WE the
sufferers of food deprevation should start our own Divi Diners club and see if we can throw some light on the subject.
Ilove mushrooms, but cannot find any info about them.
How do we achieve our five a day if we can't eat fruit? Is it O.K. to take the
skins off?
Can we have chips or roasties,or fish with batter on?
Spices, do any of you use spices. and what do you put on spaghetti?
Can we blitz veggies, as stews and casseroles are forbidden?
Pastry is allowed, but no mentoin of which type.
So. can we help each other ,then at least when ,or if we ,dine out, we can
order something from the menu.
I cannot eat boiled potatoes ,eggs (is it O.K to have a fried one?)
jelly and rice pudding for ever. .
So please join in and share your doe's and dont's. mushrooms eaters
would be good to hear from.

I'm really struggling with meals. I have DD , Gallstones and
Painful Bladder Syndrome which is very painful after eating the wrong food.
Any ideas what I can eat ? Nothing spicy, greasy, no meat, no salad, veggies are out. I'm so sick of mash and cod !
Thanks for reading.

At a loss if you can't eat anything. i initially used to make a big pan of soup with root veggies ,cook them really well ,put a veggie stock cube in, then blend it very well you can always freeze individual portoins J

Hi Yvonne
I have tried rice and rice noodles, they don't fill me up
and I find the noodles leave an horrible taste in my mouth ,
I've tried many different brands with the same results.
Can't eat chips at all. Crab and prawns are out as I don't like them. Soy sauce, causes pain.
Thanks for the suggestions though .

Also Hake is a lovely light fish, even nicer than cod. I had turbot this weekend - really nice too and no after effects.

I ALWAYS cooked my own chips, can't eat them anymore .
Sorry I'm not in the mood for humour right now , not coping
with the pain.

Sorry you're still in so much pain Linda.
I hope you like the Hake when you have the energy and inclination to get out and about.
I only realised recently that I was trying too hard on the breakfast - high fibre cereal.... all bran etc., so have cut down completely and been pain free for over a week now. Was away at a celebration weekend and ate mostly fish, but did try ice cream desserts and went down ok - no after effects.
Hope you feel better soon
Maureen x

So sorry about your dog, I know where you are coming from with that situation .I did write a poem about losing woofers ,will send it soon-ish.
Don't know much about gall bladders, but if it's removal will help you get better ,it's to be done...
take care, and stroke every dog that crosses your path,, that helped me

Hello Linda
Sorry about the poor dog
We have lost one and it was like losing a child
The dog is like a child in the family
Your Gallbladder operation, I had mine done 3 years ago and prior to the opp I was very scared.
I can tell you from my experience it's no way as bad as I though.
It will be done Key Hole. You will wake up sore but no bad pain
They will give u painkillers
Good luck
