Dizziness

hi
over the last year i have had almost constant what i describe as dizziness or feeling light headed. i have continued my normal life and dont feel terrible but certainly not my normal self. i have been to doctors about 5 times with this, had blood tests and ent everything is fine. my doctor now thinks its anxciety, im not sure.
for a long time ive had a clicking neck and there is a lot of muscle tension but not usually painful. i am wondering if this is a possible cause?
my other thought is my eyes although after an eye test my eyes were only slightly off and i feel my vision isnt bad,
i just really want to find the cause of why i feel like this and think ive tried everything but nothing works
thanks for the advice

Those symptoms can be caused by inner ear problems , sinus infections and also anxiety , the muscles tension is my problem too ,neck and upper back are always tight. Eliminate coffee and all stimulants for 10 days and you'll see the muscle tension reduced a lot.
Hope you solve it soon.

can it also be jaw clenching? Try to do some massage of your head and jaws -- are the muscles really sore?

thanks for your reply have you managed to get the dizziness any better? i try and keep busy and sometimes its not as bad, just trying to continue like normal but its always there. no one else sees it since i seem my normal self its very frustrating and can get me down . i will try more stretching which i have done in the past and i have a neck massager as well. just feel i have tried so many different things now and nothing has helped
anyone think it could be eye sight?
thanks

Hi
i had dizzyness for many years. I also had every test known to man, including bloods, full ENT works, MRI and Xray. I also tried to blame every ailment I had on being the cause. Eventually after 7 years I was diagnosed with BPPV.
I always felt 'off', like I was seeing through someone else's eyes. Nothing was spinning, but the floor felt 'off', corridors felt 'off' and everything seemed not quite rite.
Google the symptoms, watch a couple of youtube videos. You've got nothing to lose and it's simple to treat once diagnosed.
My ENT missed it because they don't test for it. I'm not exagerating when I say I had this untreated for 7 years - and was eventually treated in 30 minutes.

BPPV is caused by the tiny crystals in the inner ear becoming dislodged or floating about. This causes the weird 'off' feeling - like dizzy, but more like motion sickness. Physio is used to manouvre the crystals back to the right place. The treatment is very effective and needs to be done by a specialist. I had my treatment at the Balance Clinic in Leicester. the result was instant, and after 7 years of trying to find out what it was, I was amazed (if not a little angry that no one identified this despite dozens of tests). From time to time the crystals move again, but the clinic has taught me how to correct this myself at home in 3 minutes.
A specialist will do a very simple test to determine if BPPV is the problem. Really does need properly diagnosing - if you try and fix it yourself without knowing what you are doing, you could make it worse.
Have you researched BPPV on line? Do your symptoms sound familiar?

Hi Jhonnynot, I had the same symptoms mine having diagnosed after 2 years with PPPD.
I have seeing million Doctors, I've done blood test MRI and seeing ENT and Neurologist who diagnosed that, I am not cured but give me Candesartan tablet to try apparently I have migraine as well.
strange none of Dr pick it up .
I have been taking the medication for 3 months but no benefit, I feel worsy, so now I decided to decrease the dose and i will stop that medication in 2 weeks, i had enough is like am dreaming, for me I don't spinning but floating and rocking unsteady and unbalanced body.
I hope we all find away to come back to our selves one day, trust me there is hope.
best of luck
sab
