Eventually went for 2nd opinion who said it wasn't labrinithis!? Virus, had mri and bloods all clear. Was told to hav a hormone test at doctors which came back as slightly abnormal, ENT consultant did question hormones, then saw an neurologist yet again all clear! And said it was hormonal. Saw gynaecologist who said didn't take a monkey to rule out what was wro g with me! My symptoms were so bad ihavnt worked for 3 mths the more I walk the more my dizziness worsens my head pounds and gets very fuzzy! I also developed tinnitus which is anither hormonal symptom! Had no idea it vloukd be this bad! Wrecked my family and social life at present! Wass still having periods tho the were getting g a few days earlier every month. Starred hrt 3 days ago and can't wait to be normal again. I hope this helps any ladies out there despairing as it's a very scary road which causes alot of anxiety.

Yaaaaasssss...very scary road which caused me severe anxiety. I cannot go the HRT route or the antidepressant route. Had all the tests done too until I was 99 percent sure it was my hormones and I was in perimenopause. I kept telling my doctors this is hormonal/physical. They don't listen. My Gyn said it couldn't be perimenopause. It is and it can be. I'm 48 too and same age it hit my mom. I don't listen to Doctors anymore. I had never heard of perimenopause. Menopause yes but, not this highway through hell with this. They only thing ppl ask when you question it is if you had a hot flash. Ha, wish that's only what I've had. Some ppl don't understand at all if they breeze through it. So, I started trying different things. I had dizziness very bad. I ran across over the counter Dramamine in the store for Motion Sickness. Figured I'd try it. All I can say is that it has helped me gradually. Also, I started from GNC a 30 Meno Vitapak. I've been on it a week and again, all I can say is I've been dealing with this for 8 months. I couldn't go out of the house for at least the first 6 or so. To scared due to the anxiety, lack of focus and concentration. It just makes you lose your confidence completely. Since then I push each day to go out even it's to the grocery store. On this Vitapak for a week and the anxiety and panic attacks have stopped. Now I don't know if I'm just on the tail end of it and it is calming down but, that only changed after being on these vitamins and the Dramamine and I was trying EVERYTHING natural. So, just a thought. It has great reviews on line. Oh, also taking a Joint vitamin. Helps with the aches. Your not alone! I hope you feel better.
