High blood pressure (meds for)

I have couple Spinal Disk issues and sciatica

i have been getting very dizzy when ever i have to get up from a kneeling position. The dizziness last up to 30 seconds. i normally have stand still and hold something, it gets bad sometimes.

its been happing for half year now. All my doctor say is "get up slower"

i take meds for high blood pressure.

i just need to know if this is related to my meds or some underlining issue.

As you are taking meds for high blood pressure you should get a BP check at your doctors regularly. This has been normal I guess as your doctor doesnt seem to be worried. If you pass out or start vomiting then you should go back to your doctor, but he is right.....just get up slowly. Its because your BP drops momentarily.

It may help to have a BP machine of your own and check it when you feel dizzy ,if possible, just to see how low your BP has gone. if the lower reading goes below 100 then do see your GP again...your meds may need adjusting. Its quite normal and people get used to getting up slowly.
