Dizziness and constant brain fog, what is happening?

First of all i will say that i published something similar on other groups but this shouldn't be a long post,i'll use a short version just to point out key details in the story and yet to prevent it from being too long.Recently i went to a night club for a first time and in the beginning everything was fine,i had a great time!Later i was gradually becoming dizzy and had a weird feeling in my head,it was barely noticable while i was inside because of the atmosphere but when i got out i felt horrible:it was a combination of vertigo, ear ringing, lightheadedness and odd feeling in my head,it was nearly impossible for me to function normally. Then i went home and fell asleep, when i woke up in the morning things were good but it was still ringing in my ears(it disappeared gradually).Could the trigger be loud music, lights or something else i am unsure but i can guarantee i wasn't drinking and my friend said it is normal,it happens because of the loud music but i still feel like it's too much. Now i would like to point out my history because this whole year was my nightmare.I am suffering from a lot of symptoms which are..according to doctors only from mix of stress, anxiety and bad life habits.9 months ago and 5 months ago i had those "peaks of my stress and anxiety" because of my symptoms and the remaining period including now is better but not too much.In a nutshell my symptoms are:headaches(sometimes frequent sometimes not, depends of the period, used to have ice pick headaches as well as migraine ever since i know about myself),constant brain fog(cognitive impairment and similar, like the capacity for complex tasks and thoughts is reduced),odd sensation and feeling in my head as well as temporary pressure, brain zaps, some form of derealisation where i feel like there is something off about my perception of reality through eyes.I did a lot of tests and they all turned out to be fine except i still didn't have an MRI but 2 neurologists,a psychologist and everyone else see that as unnecessary because i did an MRI 4 years ago when it was something else and they also think it's nothing serious. But my life is now different because of everything and i'm struggling for the solution that's why i seek helpful advice.
Tried to keep it shorter but this is the best i can.

Sounds a lot like vestibular migraine gone to a chronic form. A trial of a migraine preventive medication at a high enough dose would probably be a good idea. I'm surprised one of your neurologist did not mention that especially with your history of migraines.

Thank you for your opinion,it could actually be vestibular migraine as far as concoction of dizziness, headaches and similar is concerned but i don't know what is the link between vestibular system and impaired cognitive abilities, can it be related somehow or can something else caused by vestibular migraine be the trigger.

josip- brain fog is quite common with vestibular migraine, any type of migraine as a matter of fact. Migraine is a brain disease with multiple symptom presentations. If the nightclub had any type of strobe or flashing lights, that could trigger it. As could loud noises- is music was loud. Most importantly you have a history of migraine.

I suggest you go on an elimination diet for a few weeks to rule out food sensitivities and/or mild allergies , it could also relieve your symptoms anyway.
Afterward you could try gluten free.
Try also to stop coffee and all stimulants ,it helps many people , my health improved when I quit coffee , I became very sensitive to it in the last few years.

some info about migraine symptoms that don't involve the classic headache...
Amplification of normal bodily sensations (eg normal sensations or absence of awareness of sensation may become tingling, pain or throbbing, noise, light and smell may be amplified and become uncomfortable and balance input may be amplified asymmetrically so that dizziness arises because of vestibular imbalance).
Autonomic disturbance (involvement of the nerves that regulate automatic body functions, leading to symptoms such as red, runny or drooping eyes, facial swelling, blocked or runny nose, nausea, eructation (burping), diarrhoea or flushing, etc), and
Brain dysfunction - this may manifest in the sense of aura symptoms in one in fivepersons whereby abnormal visual disturbances, dysfunction of speech or altered sensation occur; mood may change, leading to irritability, depression or even elevation of mood; there may be a prominent component of fatigue; memory may be subjectively poor and lead to confusion; in rare instances, patients may even describe symptoms of Alice In Wonderland Syndrome where they may note a distortion of reality and experience a feeling of body parts not belonging to them or being the wrong size, they may feel the wrong size compared with the environment or they may even hallucinate.

Ive had the same symptoms for over 3 years and finally have figured out was wrong. Symptoms include the following... Lightheadedness, imbalance while upright, Swaying, walking in little boat, floaty, brain fog, headaches ect. Sypmtoms always the worst when you are out and about away from home. Crowded/loud places.. Symptoms slightly decrease when at home. You all need to see a physciatrist like myself and bring up "Panic Disorder" They prescribed me klonopin and simply have my life back. STOP taking all these crazy tests and get treated for this. I PROMISE

hello, wonderful to hear to have found something that works for you!!
the thing with klonopin (clonazepam) is its a benzodiazepene....which may work for a bit, but in the long run if used everyday, becomes addictive. then you need yhe pill.
In which, if you decide to come off of them, you'll have withdrawal symptoms. Maybe even worse symptoms than now. some people it may work for, and others need to be informed properly about the use of benzos. ie..ativan, valium etc. ..highly addictive

Smitty it can work for a lifetime. Dont point out just the bad things because if it is given in low doses it has saved millions of peoples lives. Dont comment on something you havent been thru yourself. Only reason they dont perscribe it more is because of liberals saying everything that is good is bad.

Benzos do have potential for addiction and the requirement of higher and higher doses. But if a Dr starts you off at small dose, and you're monitored, addiction and escalation in dose is not a guarantee! I have been on a very low dose without needing an increase for 18yrs. My rx has not changed in all that time. I do not take it everyday, maybe 60% of the time. It has helped my dizziness and the anxiety surrounding my dizziness immensely, such that it has enabled me to keep working. I understand that Benzos used to be given out like candy (and at pretty high doses!) and destroyed many people's lives. But the swing to the other side to almost ban them is crazy as well. They are effective drugs that have their place for the right person/right diagnosis.

I was on a very low dose of Ativan for 2 months and then I found myself addicted , I quit immediately and I had the most miserable 4 days and nights of my life ,extremely unpleasant.
Now I use Ativan only on single events Like an MRI or Vertigo

It is true there are some that become addicted no matter what. Same with opiates- I know some who have become addicted when they just take them briefly after surgery, while most can do this with no problems, and it's the only thing that can relieve their pain. They same can be said for antidepressants. They can cause some to attempt suicide while others say they saved their lives. Until there is some type of test to determine one's propensity for addiction to certain types of drugs, it can be a gamble. I'm just pointing out that they ARE life-saving and helpful to some, and you generally won't read online about people who've had no problems with them cause most tend not to bother to post positive info unless they've already tried multiple other things.
I'm sorry you had that experience, and glad you were able to get past the withdrawals. I have heard of horror stories, but also success stories.

your symptoms sound like vestibular migraines. the brain fog, vertigo, dizziness, unbalanced. your symptoms of lights bothering you definitely. also loud noises-being in a club. look up vestibular migraines on webmd - i was misdiagnosed several times. all my testing came back normal. i hadnt even realized i was having so many headaches. the problem with this disorder is you do not need the pain of a headache. this can and does come out of nowhere. bam! you need medication to reset your brain with this disorder. norotriptyline is what i take. it has given me my life back. your brain needs to be reset. look up the symptoms and see if it matches you.

diagnosed based on symptoms. swaying, brain fog, rocking, ect. it's caused by an episode of vertigo no its not menopause. vertigo is to do with inner ear. you need to see a neuro-otologist not a ent doctor

i know exactly where you're coming from, i had a blood test months ago - came back fine. i had an mri at the weekend - don't hold much hope for that. the ENT 'specialist' i saw told me not to worry, it'll go away! not helpful at all. finally pleased to have found this forum where people can help explain the exact feeling as it's near impossible to describe!
