Dizziness and lightheadedness with anxiety for 2 weeks

Ive been struggling with health anxiety for most of my adult life. Im on the max dose of prozac and have been for years. my latest thing has been obsessing over feeling dizzy/lightheaded/off balance. as soon as i wake up im trying to gauge how off balance i feel and its ruining my day. im worried something serious is going on because i have never felt consistently off balance like this for days on end. im healthy otherwise and monitor my blood pressures and see a doctor every year. i want to reassure myself its just my thoughts creating this but it doesnt seem like it should be possible for my thoughts to create this constant off balance feeling. any thoughts are appreciated.

thoughts can definitely cause a person to feel dizzy and off-balanced. I’ve also had anxiety for a very long time and sometimes the underlying anxiety and stress can trigger dizziness and off-balance feeling. If I think too much about negative things, I will feel that way. But just make sure that you’ve had a recent check up and if it just won’t go away let your doctor know. there are other non-serious things that can cause your sensation including dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, Low blood count, etc.

I always found that relaxing my mind as much as I can combined with mindfulness breathing exercises will reduce or take away the lightheadedness. I really have to work on daily de stressing. I have to actually take time out of my day to

de stress i do this a couple times a day. its just as or more important than anything else i do.

    feel better!

I agree with Mike about the water. My dizziness/off balance feeling is much worse if I don't drink enough.
