You should have your heart checked out due to bp and dizziness, my father n law was having the same problems and not to scare you but he had a blockage and they put in a stent and now he's on his 3rd stent. Age isn't a factor when it comes to your heart. I have GAD, meiners, panic attacks, high bp, had several test wore a monitor for a week found out I have tachycardia my heart rate goes up in the waking hours and bradytacharydia heart rate drops in the 40's when I sleep.

I have already got egc and it was quite normal and I always check my heart rate as it ranges from 72 to 98 in different times walking laying on bed etc...

I have had alot of very bad panic attacks, sometimes lasting hours. I also thought I had a brain tumor or annueyrism.  This was last year. I also have had bad IBS for many years, but can control it sometimes with medication -ranatidine, (zantac), and peppermint oil tablets.

It really good that you've stopped smoking. Please persevere with this. People often get very edgy when they stop smoking, so that probably explains youre symptoms getting worse.  Maybe you should start taking the IBS tablets again.

I had my blood pressure measured yesrerday, and it was 144/105, and then 157/97, but I am not unduly worried. I'll just get it checked again next week, and do relaxation exercises.

If you have youre own blood pressure monitor you can measure your;e blood pressure, then do deep breathing exercises, and often it will come down if you remeasure it 10-15 mins later.

Get all the medical checks you feel you need. I do and am usually reassured.

I agree with others about consulting your doctor.  Read up on the effects of quiting smoking.  You will find out that quiting smoking cause a lot of anxiety for people.  You are literally going through nicotine and other chemical withdrawals, that add to you anxiety.  I chew tobacco.  I have plans to quit. I have been SSRI's for years, and just changed to a new one.  I am not going to try to quit just yet, since the new meds have to build up in my system.  I am currently dealing with moderate to severe anxiety at times due to the med change.  I am not going to put myself through more hell by quiting tobacco just yet.  Hope this helps.  I wish you the best of luck!

I honestly, believe that what you're experiencing is health anxiety... I've had to deal with the same problem. I've had anxiety, for as long as I can remember (I'm 18 right now), & I didn't get severe anxiety, until about a 3 month's ago. It has been awful. I went through shakiness, weakness in my body (esp limbs). I also, felt like like my chest was tightening & it hurt. I had trouble catching a breath. It felt like I had just ran a marathon, every time one of my anxiety attacks came on. But scarier than the rest of those symptoms, was the pressure I felt in my head. I was convinced that I had a brain tumor, & while I still haven't gotten an MRI/CAT scan done, all of the other symptoms I have, point towards severe anxiety. Anxiety runs rampid on my mom's side of the family, so it is very possible that I get it from her side. I mean, she's always had anxiety, as well, so it's highly possible she passed that along to me. I've gotta tell you, it is like HELL!! But I hope you begin feeling better. All I do, is take hot baths, & sometimes, hot showers. It relaxes your body a good bit, especially baths. When you take a hot bath, your body is submerged in hot water & you're not having to stand up the entire time. smile
