Dizziness, Headaches and now Tinnitus supposedly

Hey Everyone,
I hope someone out there can shed some light on the situation I'm in as I honestly am losing the will to live at this moment. In early August this year, I had severe dizziness in which I almost felt like I was going to collapse. Happened for no reason at all (I did bang my head 2 weeks before on a shed door - not sure if that's linked at all).
I'm only 24, healthy adult, never had any problems before, but ever since that day, I had been getting progressively worse with the dizziness, nausea and been numerous times through A&E, felt like I honestly was going to die. Anyhow, I managed to get through it up till this day and feeling a lot less dizzy (manageable) but about a month or so after in September I started to hear a loud high pitch noise that's refusing to shift even now. ENT said its Tinnitus and wanted to find out why I had the dizziness, they think it was Labyrinthitis (GP also said that to). So they did a hearing test to rule out a few things like Meniere's/Hearing loss, the hearing results came out 100% and they said I could hear even a pin drop! Now they want to make sure its nothing serious so just been for an MRI of the "internal acoustic meatus" whatever that means but awaiting the results.
My query is, will this loud high pitch noise (Tinnitus?) that's in my head ever go away? Was it a result of my head injury right back in July? If I plug my ears right now or cover them, I feel the noise is coming from within the brain. I have tried that Tinnitus relief that was to join your middle fingers on the base of the skull and use the index to tap but that didn't do anything, however, I noticed a completely different noise from the left ear compared to the right ear whilst tapping, not sure if that's helpful to know.
GP said it would go away within a few weeks, but its been 4 months almost. Is there any light at the end of the tunnel.
Thanks in advance for any replies! Kind Regards, Cal

Hi Terrie,
Thanks for your follow up/reply. At the moment I haven't heard back from the MRI results, today is 3 weeks so i'm hoping to hear the results either this week or by next week at the very least. Fingers cross all is clear.
Kind Regards,
Cal
