Dizziness, heart palpitations

If someone has been through this or is going through this please help!

I've been suffering for dizziness for about 4 years now which one day started from me fainting (I did not hit my head or lose conciousness). From that day on I felt very unbalanced for about 4 weeks straight which feels like being on a boat After a few months a pattern started emerging and it was happening most of the time but much worse a week before and the week during my menstural cycle. My brain feels foggy and like there is pressure on my skull and neck and my eyes get very sensitive. I started to I also started having panic attacks quite often despite never having been an anxious person prior to this. These symptoms can come all together or sometimes I just have one or two of them. Also last year I started having heart palpitations that last a week or so. I had many tests including an MRI, CT, epilepsy test, hotter monitor, ECG, went to and ear nose and throat doctor, crystal healer, health intuitive, chiropractor, physio, naturopath x 2, optometrist neurologist, hormone specialist and the list goes on! After many tests I was sent to by the neurologist he diagnosed me with silent migraines. Because silent migraines can't actually be tested and since then it seems like my symptoms are changing and evolving I wonder if it really is silent migraines?

      Hello Nikki,

Yes I have had vestibular tests, no flickering of the eyes except for once when I actually went in with an 'episode' but otherwise nothing.

I know how you feel. I have been dealing with the same issues for over 3 years now and have been to multiple doctors, ent (2) , neurologist, heart Dr and have been seeing a chiropractor since end of January and that has not helped. To this day I still don't know whats causing these everyday symptoms. Next is to see an eye Dr to check for a condition called vertical heterophoria, look it up, the symptoms are what we describe. When the neurologist diagnosed you with silent migraines what did they give you to take and has it really helped?

I think it was called metachlopramide which is an anti nausea, I have only had nausea a few times of the year as a result from the 'migraines'. I thought the metachlopramide did work to some extent but made me super tired I would fall asleep at work so it wasn't realistic for me to be taking it all the time. I only took it for a few months.

Hi. I have similar issues especially around the time of my 'monthly' I too had many tests all came back with nothing. Therefore my neurologist said it was MAV. I too loose balance, feel floaty when walking, if I turn or move my head too quickly it feels like it could fall off. I get a build up of pressure just around my shoulders and neck area which ibuprofen seem to clear. Also I was prescribed amitriptyline to try then beta blockers niether helped ended up worse so now I take cinnarizine only half a tablet 3 times a day. It can and will get better. Your panic attacks and palpitations could just be you yourself worry about this as it is scary and it's horrible and I personally wouldn't wish it on anyone! Need any more info just write back. You can look into issues with your SCM muscle. Google it to see if that fits your issues.

Hi if I didn't know better I could have written what you wrote. I started the same way. I was shopping and for no reason went down to my knees and since that day a year and a half ago I have had anxiety, on and off dizziness, head pressure, etc. The only difference between us is I don't have amenstrual cycle anymore. Hope you feel better soon
