I have just noticed dizzy spells happening like floors are moving around me, or like I am losing my balance, is this part of the menopause, unsure?

    Morning Nancy

It certainly seems to be, there have been lots of threads on it so for some reason it's quite a common symptom. I get vertigo anyway so that doesn't help, but I definitely get the same as you - feeling off balance, like the floor is moving, like it's soft when you put your foot down. I would get it checked out for inner ear first, but if that's clear then def another joy of meno. Hope you feel better xx

Hello Nancy I’ve had the dizziness and being off balance like the floor is moving and I feel I’ll fall forward since peri in 2012. It comes on suddenly and stays for a while.  Iv had my ears checked several times so I think it must be menopause as a lot of ladies on this forum experience the same but obviously get your ears checked first to eliminate any problems. I know how you feel I have it now and it’s really scary but I’m afraid we have to get used to it.

sending you a comforting slightly off balance hug x

Hi Nancy,  Such a rotten feeling and so many of us seem to have it. It hit me last year along with 101 other issues.  Dr said BPV ( inner ear vertigo).  But, apparently my ears are fine 🤷???.  I can only surmise that it is erratic hormones causing anxiety, then we get these crazy feelings.  Of course, if you ask your dr they will probably just say anxiety.  Kind of the chicken or the egg theory!
