This has totally changed my life,
I have 3 kids and have gone from a healthy active dad to a dad that is like a 80 year old grandpa.I am not confident in my mobility and feel constantly dizzy and weak.
I also am suffering from an upset stomach for almost a year and often get a feeling as though the earth moved under my feet,my body constantly twitches in weird places as well.I have had extensive investigations(ct of head, chest and stomach, endoscopy, ultrasounds, sleep study,X-ray,echo scan and holster test of heart, multiple bloods, chiro 2x per week and have seen a psychologist and tried anti depressants for months with no results.Amnow trying gluten and lactose free diet as well.Ive basically come to the conclusion I am gonna just feel crap forever.

Wow.. reading this post is like reading my life story for the last 5 years. I have never posted on this forum but I went from a healthy guy (I'm 38 now) to feeling just like an old man. I have no energy, my neck and back hurt, my bones hurt at times, I have this weird off balance feeling all the time.. I could go on and on and like you have had every test under the sun and according to my doctor I'm the healthiest SOB on the planet. My body twitches and I get heart palpitations. The only reason I have a job today is bc I work for my family and my mom in particular has been very understanding. I have a 7 year old daughter and I'm a single dad and it's brutal bc she wants to play and wrestle and sometimes I just feel like crap and I can't play. I have tried everything from antidepressants to low carb/ no gluten diets but to no avail.. I've thought I had every disease known to man but every morning I wake up and I gotta keep going. I've come to the conclusion it's gotta be Candida or something weird. Im looking into taking Iugol's iodine as a supplement. I would really like to hear back from you man. I'm in your boat brother!

Interesting reading your post your symptoms sound quite similar to mine, especially the offbalance and muscle twitches, have you found that your threat and speech have been affected?

Kelvin,
I get a lot of anxiety especially when I'm eating. I feel like I'm going to choke but I think that is more mental than something in my throat. I have noticed I will start to slur my speech occasionally like my mouth doesn't want to work properly. I struggle to find words sometimes and I have a lot of brain fog! I get headaches and neck aches that 800mg ibuprofen barely touch.. The only test for me that were out of norm was a vitamin D level of 33 and my testosterone was around 300. Dr didn't seem to concerned though..

Dallas,
I to have enormous brain fog and feel stoned sometimes. Feel hungover in the morning without a drop of alcohol. It's very frustrating when Dr says it's all anxiety or depression. I was never an anxious person or depressed. I get depressed now sometimes but gotta keep pressing on. Best of luck with your test man. Keep us updated.

Do you also get muscle weakness,I feel like my muscle movement has also been impaired and my movements are very unnatural and forced now,I'm not sure if this is due to mobility but I also feel a lot more arthritic since I've been ill.
Any idea what bought yours on Sean?

Muscle weakness has been one of my most frightening symptoms. I remember one night after hanging out at my sisters house with my daughter we were driving home and my arms felt tired just holding the steering wheel. When I got out of my truck and picked her up I started to walk up the stairs my legs felt like they were going to give out. I still get some muscle weakness but it has improved. One symptom that really bothers me and was one of my very first symptoms was eye floaters. I was playing in a pool tournament in vegas and I walked out of the casino and into the daylight and I saw something floating in my vision. Went to see 4 eye Drs and they said it's just floaters. They have gradually gotten worse and now I have visual snow as well. I have no idea what brought it on as I don't remember specifically getting sick around this time.

You mention arthritic. My joints pop a lot now and my neck makes grinding noises and hurts a lot. When I wake up my feet and hands feel swollen. When I tell my dr all these things they just have this blank stare like... There is no way possible you could have all this wrong with you. That's about my que to leave because I know the anxiety and depression speech is coming.. ugghhh

Dallas,
I to have a lot of stomach issues with this illness. I had pain in my abdomen just above my belly button all the time and pressure/ discomfort and sometimes even mild pain beer my ribs mainly on liver side but occasionally on left as well. Had scopes done with nothing of concern found. One thing that made a huge difference for me after trying what seemed like hundreds of products (digestive enzymes-probiotics)was my mom found a product at local whole food store. It's called Bio-k. It's a liquid probiotic that I drink every morning. After taking it for several weeks I did feel better. The only problem is it's very expensive 😩 I had my homeopath dr draw blood and do allergy testing which showed my inflammatory foods were yeast, gluten, egg whites and few others I can't remember. I feel like this has to be a guy problem or imbalance but I don't remember feeling any different when I went gluten free and it was very hard to stick to. Well I hope I haven't overwhelmed you or discouraged you but I to will never give up and will keep fighting to regain my health. Best regards to you. Holler at me anytime if you have a question or any updates. Thanks

I to have noticed my speech has become slurred since this all started, I too feared I would choke when eating but you'll get over that, you won't choke the anxiety is certainly making out think you will, I have also experienced joint problems, my knees are now quite painful and I have noticed me knee sometimes locks which I will have to get checked out, I started with quite a lot of muscle weakness but that now has more or less passed, I am just at a loss as to what to do about this offbalance feeling and the weakness in my neck muscles which contributes to the offbalance feeling

I wish I had an answer but I don't. When I try to exercise my neck it actually gets worse. I've tried the neck strengthening exercises and it makes it worse. I just keep trying!

I wanted to ask you if you had any mercury fillings. I have 5 and have suspected this as the possible cause. Please let me know. Thanks

I have not had any Mercury Fillings, why do you think that is? I am convinced there is either a problem with my neck or my spine, I am due to see an ENT and have an MRI of my C Spine done so hopefully they come up with some answers, have you found anything that helps with the off-balance feeling?

Kelvin,
I have so many strange symptoms that are wide spread all over my body that I don't think my issues can all be from my neck. I have all the symptoms of a chronic fatigue type illness and that makes me believe its system wide problem like possibly heavy metal toxicity, possibly mercury. I had slot of muscle fatigue all over like arms, legs and even jaw when I would chew. Maybe we don't have a lot of the same symptoms.

Sean,
?I think the main symptoms we have in common are the off-balance feeling and also some muscle weakness especially in my legs, amongst other symptoms, but I think you are the person who's symptoms probably come closest to the ones I have, you're probably right in the sense that the problem is not purely rooted in the neck, but there is something not right, I'm going to see a Physio tomorrow if I learn anything new, I'll let you now

Kelvin,
Please do let me know what they say. It's very hard to explain how this makes us feel to dr's they just don't understand. The off balance feeling just won't go away!! I wanted to ask you if you smoke or use tobacco? My mother says it's all caused from dipping.. who knows she may be right but haven't been able to stop for more than a few days. I get strange pulsing sensations In my feet now like I can feel my pulse all over my body. It's strange! Anyways man please holler back.

Any updates with you? I'm scheduled to have an MRI of my thoracic area and neck area in the morning. I still have a lot of pain and stiffness in neck, shoulder into my head area. Still feel pretty crappy but keep pressing on. Just wanted to check in on you.

Hi Sean,
?Thanks for checking up, this has been the strangest 7 months of my life, I'm truly fed up of this. I have not found any answers. I have had an MRI of my C Spine, my brain, I have had imaging done on the blood vessels in my neck, my ENT does not think their is a problem in my ears.
?I just don't understand how these symptoms are related. the ones that frustrate me the most are the off balance feeling and this strange feeling in my arms and legs, I struggle to explain it but it's almost like they struggle to support themselves, my legs quads burn just walking up steps and they shake uncontrollably when I try to do leg raises. Also the changes in my speech bothers me now and again. I am due to see me Neurologist again to investigate whether I am suffering from a nerve problem, (along the lines of polyneuropathy).
?How are you getting on? how did you MRI go and have you found any relief?
sean45035 kelvin91301

Kelvin,
The MRI showed protruding disc at T8 and some slight issues at C5-C6. He said nothing that he thought would cause any balance issues or whatever. I have been dealing with this for so many years I am beyond frustrated and have honestly just accepted it as my reality. I have learned to live with all the weird stuff my body does but it doesn't mean that I am not absolutely miserable some days. I at least know that I'm not dying of some horrible disease like I thought I was a few years back. I think it has to do with T8 area having an issue and in turn it creates a lot of muscle tension that runs up into my neck and head area which may be causing the strange sensations some how. I'm gonna make appt with a few NS specialist and discuss options. I hope we can find relief some day!
Best regards,
Sean

female.. almost 50. have had these same or similar symptoms on and off to varying degrees since 2015. bloods. no issues except maybe low d.mri.. same. issues at c5.. c6. nothing crazy. haven't had whole back done but I have major pain above my tailbone too.
Have off balance often. Had vertigo Saturday from looking up and to the right. The night before my neck was super tight and my shoulders. Burning or pins and needles sensation. Single parent. Highly highly stressful life.
Supposedly it's variant migraine from hormone change. I've looked into fibromyalgia. Self medicating very small amounts of Valium which? Seem to be making it worse. How can the best muscle relaxer make them worse????
Deciding whether to self meducate Prozac.
Feel your frustration.

Hey there ,
i came across your post while googling for similar symptoms ..
have you had any luck with a diognosis?
I just wanted tell you that yours sound somewhat a lot like a condition called MAV
Its migraine associated vertigo.
I came upon this while doing research for my own synptoms.
Mainly unbalance , ground shaking, floating, pushing/pullig feeeling.
There is a site - mvertigo.com
Try browsing in there and u will
See many similar ppl with said problems.
MAV or vestibular migraine is the name .
