    Hi Anita,

I would head to an ear nose and throat specialist. I had the same symptoms start four weeks ago. I was just about to leave on holidays when I felt suddenly dizzy and nauseous. I have good and bad days, but it feels like I'm in a dream and my balance is off. I have had other random symptoms which made the whole thing really confusing (rash for a few days, weakness in arms, just feeling "off"). It caused me anxiety too. I was diagnosed with vestibular neuritis. My ent specialist explained it to me and it made my appetite come back/majority of my anxiety go away. Have a little read up and see if the symptoms fit you. Basically it means damage has been caused (by a virus) to the nerve which affects balance and the brain has to now compensate for the loss by retraining itself to balance again. Ent specialist said I should stop feeling off in 6-8 weeks because I'm young (24 years old). Full 100% recovery in 12 months.

Oh and it comes in waves for me. I can be good for hours then it just hits me like "woah" and can last a couple of minutes to a few hours sometimes.

Hi Lauren thank you for your reply. I've just been back to the doctors he's sending me for a brain scan as he says I have a lot of tension all around my head & neck which don't seem to ease off sad he's also given me Gabapentin to try to if that will take away some of the tension. I will aso have a read up thank you smile x

Please look into Lyme disease with babesia coinfection (you get it from a tick bite). I have Lyme disease (borrelia) and babesia which I got from a tick bite. Came across this thread looking up some of my symptoms and it sounds very much like you all could well have babesia. I never us these forums....please please copy and paste this to other people you are in contact with/who are asking questions on this thread! All the best

    Hi Anita.

So glad to find this discussion as I am suffering the same symptoms. It's been going on for the past 5 months now. So frustrating because I am a mother of three, 37 years old. Been to the doctors several times and he said he suspected gastritis. I hate this state as am not myself anymore. Am well one minute, the next am totally confused. I have become forgetful, upper stomach pains, My left arm feels numb, dizziness, neck and shoulder pain. Feeling sick although nothing comes out. Am so worried that things might get bad and a hidden diseases might go unnoticed. Any cure yet?

      Hi,

When I visited this site I was suffering from the noted symptoms.  It was a very frightening and frustrating time. keeping up with school runs, work, home was really difficult. I would be feeling dizzy and nausea, tired, headaches and driving was really difficult plus I was so afraid to drive.

Several visits to the doc, lab tests and everything came back normal albeit not feeling right at all.. Anyway, I felt I needed to do something..

I started re-evaluating what I was doing a month prior to these symptoms. What was I ingesting in terms of food and bla bla and something had struck me. I had just started exercising and this was the first time in 2 years after my c-section. I had also bought some Collagen+c tablets online which I had just started taking. I had been taking them for about 3 weeks prior.  I began to figure out, whether I was putting my body and brain thru unnecessary pressure and decided to stop the exercises and the tablets.

I then decided to detox my body for one week. Bought vegetables( spinach, broccoli, cauliflower, leeks, celery) boiled them then  blended them into a veg soup. This I took for three days in a row for breakfast, lunch and dinner..((wasn’t fun🙈wink but I pushed on.. I also took water and prune juice in between the soup. By day three I had had several visits to the toilet and I felt weak but I was determined. I introduced solids on day four to just one meal and continued taking my veg soup+ water and prune juice to the end of the week..I must admit I couldn’t believe just how much better I felt after that cleanse. Gradually I regained form and am so much better now. Please note: I AM NOT a doctor nor a dietician and I do not claim to cure any  diseases, cause or symptoms. We are all different and this in my opinion is what  worked for me somehow so seek professional advice if need be.

Any word yet on what it could be? I am having the exact same symptoms. I had GBS back in Nov of 15 and a sinus infection about a month ago. My symptoms have been going on for bout 2 months now.

    Hello Anita,

I've been feeling the same for several months now. All my blood tests and scans came back ok. But i got A C5-C6 herniated disc with nerve impingement. I'm not sure if that's the problem. Please advise if whether you found any solution to your problem.

I just wanted to put this out there...i was diagnosed with MS about 7 years ago. I've been having similar symptoms lately and assumed I was having a flair up. Did you ever get this figured out? The way I was diagnosed involved a process of MRIs with and without contrast of the spine and brain... those came back showing lesions on both so I was sent for a spinal tap which confirmed the prognosis. Have you had MS ruled out?

Hey guys! I have had the all of these symptoms..lost a job..Got married and had a kid under these symptoms.. It has been a completely trippy ride with whatever this is... I can tell you two things...

A month or so before my symptoms started. I noticed my shoulders were rolled forward. And one night while sitting in the car. I felt lightning pain in my sholders and legs with most of the pain being in my hips.. the pain made me weak and I could barely walk. I slept in the car for a while and felt fine after...then the symptoms kicked in a month later.

    2nd thing

I had this for 3 years now and what I have learned is that my body internally has twisted up muscularly. From my hips to my shoulder and legs have turned like strings. Through massage foot and back I can find some relief. The key is to loosen the neck through stretching. If ur losing your voice and seeing things it's because the ribs that connect your shoulders puts pressure on the neck and the lower part of brain which controls balance, memory ext. I hope this helps guys..I'm not out of the woods yet but I'm much better

      Hi,

Do you mind expanding on what kind of neck exercises you have found have helped? this may explain why my speech has changed.

      Regards

      Kelvin,

My chiropractor gave me this 10" ball that I use. I place the ball against the wall and I press my head against it in all 4 directions over & over to help strengthen my neck muscles. Lately been just sitting in a chair and stretching my neck as well in all 4 directions. Helps a little.

I can see that. My shoulders roll forward horribly badly. Awful. I'd often wondered if skelatelly I'm. Just whacked.
