Dizziness seems more in the evening

Hi everyone

I hope your all doing better. I was wondering does anyone notice your dizziness and symptoms seem to be at a certain time if the day. I notice mine seems to be the evening after work. I have to say I overall it's better. I'm having more days without it, knock wood. When I have it, it's usually the evening and last fir a few hours. Not nearly as bad as it was, much easier for me to handle now. I'm so thankful it's gone down and I'm about 85% better.

I wonder why it's settled to nights only, maybe the working all day. My anxiety has dropped to almost nothing. I think acceptance that I'll be ok has helped.

I'm so glad I didn't take the meds fit this and was able to do the VRT and go to counseling to get help.

I hope all of you are doing better as well

Hi Patty, mine is better as well, only happens when I lay down on my right side but I am quickly recovering from it. I took meds for it, which was great as I'm almost 95% better now, just a tinged of it here and there before going to sleep.

I'm glad your feeling better. What do you have? I have MAV. It's been a long year for me, I hope it never comes back like it was. I'd be thrilled if it went completely and hope that it dies.

Not sure what MAV is but I hope I never get that. Mine was only a few days of vertigo of the ear I think it's called BPPV. Yes, goodriddance when it's all gone.

Mine is usually better at night but I recently found out I'm anemic so I don't know if that is why I've been feeling this way.... I just had B12 tests done a few days ago and I'm just waiting on the results. Y legs have been hurting, throwing me off balance even more and making me dizzy

I had low b12 and got it back up in the upper level.

I get sore legs but it's usually when I'm off balance and over using my legs to stay balanced.

Have you been diagnosed with vestibular dysfunction like VN or MAV?

I haven't been diagnosed with anything yet. I was hoping that I could blame it on the anemia! I also thought that maybe my legs were sore from trying to compensate for being dizzy and off balance. Did you feel better once your levels were up?

It's hard for me to tell. I'm also hypothyroid and my levels were way off. We've gotten the levels going back to normal along with the b12 and my vit d levels. When the migraine associated vertigo hit me the dizziness was so bad that it kicked in my health anxiety and with that it all spiraled out of control. Now with everything going back into normal levels and the VRT exercises I've been doing things are getting better. U was told by my ENT that with inner ear problems and MAV that the anxiety is part of it, but at the same time thyroid levels can also cause it. I do know when I was anemic I was very tired, pale skin, and generally just felt awful all the time. I took iron for a few months and it cleared up. But I don't remember having dizziness.

      I don't have headaches anymore so I'm thinking I don't have MV

My headaches have pretty much gone to. The ENT told me MAV is a silent migraine and instead of the headache I get dizzy. I think the headaches I was having were tension anyway cause I would have them when very stressed or anxious. I'm just thankful things are better

    Hi Patty,

I've been doing a lot of research today on this. I read that stress and tiredness can onset them. I can relate at how it seems more likely to happen in the afternoons and evenings. Hope this helps!

Did your ear condition cause you real anxiety? I have read that it can cause anxiety and depression. I've just had labyrinthitis and my anxiety was very strong and feeling quite depressed

Yes mine are about an hour after I get up and ca last from 5-30 min. Once they go I don't get anymore that day. One of my consultants thinks that my Gabapentine helps to cause it
