Dizziness vertigo and neck pain

So recently I had been doing pretty well but I have been having severe neck and back pain and getting episodes of dizziness now the other day I had full on vertigo and it felt like everything was spinning except me and it’s happend a few times now but my doctor says we need to wait two weeks and see how things go before we can do any tests for heart  or an mri if the brain to check things out.  Has anyone else had these kind of feelings or sensations.

I know I’ve had dizziness before but never vertigo and it can be pretty intense. Any help or ideas or others with these feeling please is really appreciated.

Hi Tom, I also suffer with anxiety and one of my biggest problem is dizziness and weakness in my legs , I had episode of vertigo around two months ago .it felt just like in your example it was horrible I couldn’t walk or do anything it lasted for couple of days then was getting better I felt very weak physically and mentalt during and after vertigo attack .i had all checks done everything was back as normal and doctor said clearly that it is anxiety related and he believes it can be as bad as normal vertigo ,he prescribed me some antipsychotics to take half of tablets whenever I will feel more dizzy but to be honest with you I never took it .last week I had another episode of vertigo but this time it went after few hours.im having migraines also ,everything is stress what triggers our anxiety and overthinks, not being able to relax the mind doesn’t help at all we just have to learn what our bodies wants from us we all are different. I hope it will help you somehow

Thank you I think mine is related to the insane tens ness of my back and shoulders also I’m a mason and my back and neck are always messed up causing pain which causes anxiety I think it’s deffinetely anxiety related because I’m otherwise healthy. I’m thinking of trying some acupuncture and if that relieves some of the muscle tension

Have you been taking any medications (even OTC) for the pain in your neck and back? Have you quit taking any medications lately?

?I'm wondering if any pain meds you are possibly taking could cause the side effects of dizziness and vertigo?

I don’t take any medications I have been prescribed medications in the past but they never really worked out for me so I see a councilor every other week and try to eat healthy and do deep breathing but sometimes the anxiety can still sneak up on you. Before I know it I’m tense and have horrible tension headaches and I’m getting anxiety again but it’s not always to realise it is anxiety it takes a lot of self examination for me to figure it out sometimes.

I have had this same issue absolutely 4 years ago severe neck pain dizziness and back pain tension headaches and I slowly came out of it I’m hoping to stay positive and work my way through this as best as I can.
