dizziness - Vertigo - Vestibular Neuritis

hi,

I am feeling dizzy for last three days and went to see a ENT doct.

She said it could be Vestibular neuritis as i was feeling more dizzy when i lie down on my right and it is normal on my left.

Also i feel a little imbalance sometimes during walk. Also feel like head shaking a little while working/sitting.

Last month i had similar symptoms along with sever vomtings. then taken vertin 16mg on doctor suggestion  and vertigo gone in 4 days. and came back day before yesterday.

Actual i felt the same one year back. then some other doctor said it could be becz of high bp. but these days i feel this even with my bp readings less than 135/85 and it is never above 140/90.

Last month in positional testing i rotated 180 degrees right. but yesterday nothing like that then she said use vertin for 15 more days, if not cured then i may go for Brain MRI. Here i started feeling nerves.

What is your opinion on this> anyone having similar symptoms?  this could be becz of brain tumor or stroke?

Please suggest.

Hello Raju, I have very similar symptoms as you. I posted a new discussion, you can click on my username.

As of now here are the symptoms (in a somewhat chronological order):

    - Involuntary brain shiver/zaps only for a week

    - A strong pressure at the back of my head

    - Dizziness/vertigo gets worse in time (I feel like I'm constantly spinning, the spinning gets stronger into a vertigo attack when I try to do work or think. I also notice my head tend to lean towards the right side)

    - Throbbing feeling in head 24/7, starts right when I wake up

    - Difficulty concentration & a constant brain fog

    - Stiff neck and pain behind ear near hairline/lymph node

    Other things worth mentioning:

    - My ears feel plugged like it's blocked sometimes. It will pop on its own and I hear crackling sounds in my ear when my jaw is wide open. There is also an odd pressure inside my ears.

    - My vertigo will get worse when I put my head on the floor

    - A couple of weeks before my dizziness experience (before 21st april), I had a sudden severe diarrhoea where I went to the toilet 6 times in an hour. Severe pain at my left lower abdomen.

I also feel my head shaking a little when working/sitting. Do you have any head pain or tension?

      Hi Raju,

Glad to hear you’re getting better and things are in control. I’m only seeing the ENT specialist on the 31st. Quite a long wait. I still get mild vertigo and severe neck tension whenever I try to do work (or use any brain energy if it makes sense) or when I’m at a place where there’s a lot of movement, too noisy much noise or too bright.

Anyways my GP sent me to do blood tests as he suspected I could have an autoimmune disease based on all my symptoms and health history. Turns out he told me I have Lupus. ANA test is positive.  Not really sure what to do but I guess I’ll have to wait for my ENT appt then maybe follow up with autoimmune specialist.
