Hi Paula, you should really see an Neuro Otologist. It sounds like what I had BPPV with nausea. Go see someone who specializes in this. Also, there are exercises to help bring back the crystals that have move into your ear canal back into place. The crystals not by in the right place cause the symptoms you're experiencing. Look up BPPV on yt for the exercises and find yourself a new doctor, the one you have knows nothing.

BPPV is indeed one possibility. Another is Vestibular Paroxysmia, or neurovascular compression of the nerve for hearing and balance. With the dizziness, do you have hearing loss at the same time?

Then it might be BPPV. This should be confirmed by ENT.

Definitely sounds like BPPV to me. Go to the ENT and they can diagnose and treat in under 30 minutes.

Sometimes its worse than others, sometimes its barely there, other times its really bad, is that consistent with BPPV>

To answer your question, yes, it's exactly how it is. This is why everyone whose had says it's BPPV.

    Hi Paula,

I've been dealing with the exact same symptoms you described for the past 5 years. I have been to at least 15 doctors including top neurological specialists with no luck.It had me down for about 3 years, but now i just grin and bear it. Your not alone and hopefully you find a answer.. either way you will be ok. Don't let it keep you down and let me know if you find a answer.
