Dizziness when fatigued

hi all! I'm just wondering if anyone on here sufferers

from dizziness when you've done too much just before fatigue kicks in?? It's never happened before, so wondering if it's unrelated or a new side effect of pred?? I've had PMR since March 2015 and currently on 8mg

thank you in advance

No palpitations or sweating or anything like that to go with it?

Difficult to say - but another good reason not to overdo things!

Easy to check for - and one of several things your GP should be checking at least every 6 months and preferably more often.

PS - and it could be your BP too. I trust that is taken now and again?

Thank you Eileen, I haven't had an iron blood test since March!!!, so I'll be on the case in the morning!! I keep a check on my BP, I have a gadget at home, my Father had high BP and had an atheroma at 52 yrs!,,, so I'm at high risk myself now having had a CRP reading of 100, plus on steroids

Thank you for your help,, Andrea xx

Yes, I had dizzy spells, more than usual.  But it turns out that my iron is also down, so that might have been it.  On iron now, and your post reminds me that I haven't had any of those light-headed spells lately.  I'm also at 8.

I still do get the odd light-headed spell before total fatigue sets in, but I also have to watch my iron  and magnesium levels.  Overall though, the fatigue itself seems to be getting less (fingers crossed) which is good as it is well past it's use by date.

I sometimes get a dizzy feeling when standing if fatigued, my BP can be on the low side but everything else is OK. I assumed it was the pred.

Yes. I quite often feel dizzy when tired. I'm currently on 19mg Pred, my lowest dose so far. It was even worse when I was on the higher doses of 40 or less. My husband once had to grab me before I fell into an open freezer in the supermarket! I was leaning over it to grab something. :-)

I now make a point of sitting on the bedside for a moment before I get up, especially if I need to get up in the night.
