dizziness with tinnitus and periodic loss of balance

im currently experiencing constant light headedness or dizziness (not vertigo).  This is accompanied by tinnitus or ringing in both ears.

I experienced this about 3 years ago but worse as it did include periodic vertigo episodes.  I went to several specialists, had numerous MRIs, hearing tests, corroded artery, vestubulor therapy, you name it, I had it.  I took meclazine daily which helped.  One neurologist prescribed magnesium and vitamin b with riboflavin which has prevented most vertigo spells.

About a a year ago all the symptoms subsided for the most part, so I was thrilled.  Then in may I was on a plane and as it ascended I had a bad vertigo attack for about 10 seconds.  I have always had a pulling sensation in my head when on a plan upon ascending but never vertigo.  Once it subsided, I was left with s headach and dizziness/lightheadness for a few days.  It went away but then slowly reoccurred to where I am today with the feeling every day associated with the ringing in the ears and loss of balance This is disturbing as I am scheduled to fly to Tampa in a month to go on a cruise and am concerned.

Today was the worse as I was eating lunch at work and had to grab the end of the table so not to fall alarming my co-workers.

I managed to drive myself home and lay down.  As I write this post the ringing in the ears and slight dizziness are present.

If anyone is or has had my symptoms please add yr feedback.

Probably need to see the doc again. Can't never tell when something new may have come up. You have to rule out anything bad first. My doc has told me she has seen many ppl have these problems after flying. Usually a steroid taper helped. So many things can give you these symptoms you need to rule out anything bad first.

Hi.  I was to my reg dr on July 18.  I'm currently going to physical therapy 2 times a week for my upper back and neck.   I tend to slouch at work and have had numbness in my left hand so he thought this Would help.  If has helped the numbness but the tinnitus and frequent dizziness only had little improvement.

I'm having a good afternoon.  Not too bad with symptoms.  I had a good night sleep and a few short naps.  Yesterday I had a slight ear ache and think I had a temperature.  Maybe it's an ear infection.

All I know is I have to feel better enough to fly on 09/13 and prey I don't get a vertigo spell as the plane asends and makes me uncomfortable for my cruise.

Those ear problems including vertigo can come from your neck, you said you have neck problems, is it CS? I too have same problems.
