Hi Renee: I had your same symptoms due to peri for a year. Going to a chiro helped me with the neck pain. I can't take HRT. I tried 2 antidepressants and both made me sick. I stopped them and waited but, after 6 months I couldn't shake the symptoms of the dizziness and I was still crying most days. I had to do something. I just started on Lexapro. Within the past 3 days on 5mg I'm much calmer. I haven't had any side effects yet. I take it with food and take it at night. For me it helps me sleep and for some that take it during the day they say it makes them sleepy. Everyone is different so, side effects usually last the first 2 weeks. Some say nausea, headaches, dizziness, confusion but, again I haven't had any of that. They say by week 4 you should start really feeling effects and by the 2nd, 3rd month things should clear. So, just a thought. I've been through this very bad. It hit me severely. I don't like taking meds but, nothing else over the counter, vitamins and herbs. Nothing worked for me. I haven't even hit menopause yet, so I'm staying on this till I'm through with that just in case. Just a suggestion. Lots of videos on you tube for it. I was at the end of my rope and had no hope. I do now. I hope you find something that works and you feel better. Sending you hugs!!!
