hello renee, i experience what you've described a lot. i attended a balance clinic who diagnoised me with vestibular migraine but i was also having daily headaches. yours sounds more related to your sinuses. sorry i have no remedies but just wanted you to know your not alone in this and try not to worry it will clear

Thank you for the reply. Hopefully can get it sorted out at the docs. I do have fullness in right ear and ive tried popping ears but right one refuses. I have pretty bad health anxiety so the what ifs are not good.

Hello anxiousface. I was wondering what your symptoms of vestibular migraines were? I still have this full ear feeling. with balance issues and headaches. Im waiting on appt for balance test. And what do they do as far as treatments are concerned if your diagnosed. Thanks love

      hello renee

my symptoms with vestibular migraine are not always accompanied with a bad headache, i feel off balance like motion sickness, i can feel like the the floor is uneven or its sloping. if i go out walking sometimes i feel im walking on march mallows and i can feel i dont walk straight as i test myself.

Another odd feeling is that my eyes are being pulled out their sockets but thats most likely classed as a eye headache, my ears can feel full too they did for nine weeks solid last year.

i was put on cinnarizine tablets and advice on vitamins to take and given exercises to do when walking out and standing with my eyes closed . i also had to do a diary of what i ate & drank

i was feeling so much better and started to go out again in shops etc so i weaned off the cinnarizine , but now realise i feel back to how i was so im going back on them tomorrow see how i go .

My job doesn't help me as i work in an office with low ceilings and big flouresent light tubes above me, there a killer, i know if i go to work with a headache it will turn into a migraine .

Drink lots of water, cut out coffee, tea & chocolate, eat regular, get some fresh air every day and see if anything changes.

keep in touch and let me know how your doing and when you get your appointment

sending you a comforting slightly off balance hug

Thank you!! My symptoms are very similar to yours. My balance test isnt until Aug 2!!!! Ugh This has been going on over a month and started after i returned from a trip driving not flying. Whats odd is i dont have this feeling while driving in car. Just walking. I pray docs can sort it out and its nothing sinister as i said before I am a big what if girl and dont want to do that. I hear most balance disorders have to do with inner ear so Im trying my best. My hearing does sound a bit muffled in my right ear and i feel like my dizziness comes from that side like ear is blocked. I have been using a saline rinse which seems to help for a bit and lately ive been getting a dull pressure in my head and it feels like someone is squeezing my nose. I have no idea what it is but praying it gets better. Thank you so much for chatting with me its nice to know im not alone

Are you in the uk, if so have a look on The Migraine Trust website its full of useful information on different headaches. im the opposite to you as driving can make me feel a little dizzy when i stop at traffic lights & the traffics whizzing past in front of me. i get the squeezing nose pressure too, iv had it all day its horrible, even my glasses hurt me. i think its swelling in my sinuses . since having a bad case of sinusitus about 12 years ago my sinuses have suffered since, it effects the while if the head. hope it all eases for you soon your not alone

hi seetu, i think im better than i was last year, i know get migraines for either 20mins or the whole day or 4 days solid but not as often as i use to. i take vitamin b2 and Bio-Kult Migrea. im more suffering with my balance now and it all stems from my head when i feel its full of pressure.

How are you getting through this

Does your jaw ache by any chance? Or do you think you might be unconsciously clenching or grinding your teeth. Temporomandibular disorder can cause these symptoms.

Hi Cat. I believe i do. I have had my top teeth pulled 2 years ago so I have no top teeth only bottom. Plus Im always anxious so that probably doesnt help. My health anxiety has been triple fold this month due to all these issues. My neck is stiff across my traps and up into my neck Ive also been having dull headaches last few days along with what i think are sinus issues along with the off balance feeling. Im so scared its something more sinister and i believe my husband is fed up. I cried yesterday thinking i have a tumor or aneurysm. I do have a balance test in Aug but all this came out of no where. I feel pressure in my head my ear always feels full and blocked and it feels like someone is squeezing my nose. I have been to gp and ent . Gp said its most likely sinus related and gave me clarintin which i just started taking yesterday. Ent looked at everything. Said ears looked good. I do have swelling in my nasal cavities and he gave me a nasal spray and a rinse. And a referral for a balance test. I am just feeling very over whelmed.

I hear you Renee, and I'm so sorry you're going through this -- it can indeed feel very overwhelming at times. I had to learn deep breathing just to press through those overwhelming feelings. And prayer too.

Do consider seeing an oral surgeon to check your teeth and for TMD. They'd usually take an xray of your joints and it'll show pretty clearly if that's what your dealing with. The jaw joints are very close physically to your ears and can cause a lot of ear-related issues and, by extension, issues with balance, vertigo, headaches, neck pain etc etc

The dull headaches could also be neck/cervical related -- for that you might consider having an ortho check it out or at least try improving your posture and sleep position. For me personally, I found sleeping on my back on a low-profile (flatter) pillow did wonders.

I wrote this post a long time back (yup it's been awhile); perhaps you might find it helpful: https://patient.info/forums/discuss/thoughts-on-what-we-re-going-through-and-how-we-can-try-to-avoid-exacerbating-them-749174

Hello ladies just wanted to give a bit of an update. Saw my ENT yesterday. He diagnosed me with a eustachian tube defect in ear and has told me to continue with the antihistamine. He also said my septum was extremly deviated and i had chronic swollen turbines. He also thinks that I may have TMD so is sending me to get a sinus scan which will show the jaw. So Thank you Cat38281. I do have a balance test and hearing test scheduked for Aug 2 but he thinks that will all come back ok. Will keep you posted on progress. Today is day 5 on antihistamines.
