Do any of my fellow dizzy girls get the Flu vaccination ?

Hello! Do any of my fellow vertigo sufferers get the flu shot? I usually get it every year at this time. BUT! I am afraid it might make me feel horrible. I posted something similiar on the vertigo forum. My gut tells me to wait until I see the vertigo specialist. Just seeing what you ladies do!

I don't take them because they are full of mercury. Plus the strains of flu mutates quickly and the flu shot does not cover them all and with some people it makes them very sick. Some times its just a no win situation!

I have a flu jab because I have many health issues. Every year I wonder why I did. I had it over 2 weeks ago and I am still ill. Dizzy, nauseous, weak. Wonder if it would be easier to risk the flu.

Well I can't speak on the Vertigo front but I have dizziness.... I got the flu shot on Friday and not only did it make the dizziness and my internal buzzing a lot worse but I also had a reaction to the shot which I've never had before. I developed a big red raised spot on my arm that was very sensitive. I also have another rash on my other arm. 4 days later and the worsened symptoms are still with me.

No, I never do... But my husband does and he still gets the flu. But then he is always around people and doesn't get proper rest-nor does he eat healthy.

No. Last year my arm swelled up to epic proportions & had a great big red lump that took ages to go down. It was also so painful & I felt ill. Got enough problems without adding to the mix!! Xx

Hi Lou - I've never done the flu shot as of yet in my life. I'm 49 going on 50; not saying "never"...but as of now I haven't.
