Do hot flushes occur in "waves" or "phases"?

As in, could you go for days or weeks at a time without that stupid heat/flushing thing, and then suddenly have it come on again? And for me, it's accompanied by that irritating head pressure/weird full head feeling, as well as headache, tinnitus and general dejection. Anyone else? 😦(

    Hi Cat,

Unfortunately, yes. Seems to me that most symptoms come and go and come and go... 😦

    Take good care,

Hi - I don't get flushes but I do get night sweats and the head pressure feeling a lot. This comes and goes, I can go for a week without it and then it's back. I'm guessing it's the fluctuating hormones?

    Hugs xx

Yes I'm thinking so more and more now. Some weeks back I skipped a period and the whole time I was actually feeling quite fine; but then the next period came, and at the end of it came the headaches and the heat and pressure. Infuriating really. Hugs X

    Hey Cat..

For the record: The dreaded hot flashes can occur at any time. There's NO set day, date, time, or season to their madness! They are just one of the many relentless symptoms of menopause.

Hm for me it sort of comes and goes; there are distinct times where I feel fine. Here's to all of us hanging in there and pressing through it!!

      So exhausting : (

For me the pressure thing seems very linked to diet, if I go overboard on caffeine or eat out where the sodium content is higher. It's not like it was when I was in school and ate whatever the heck I wanted without thinking twice!!
