Do I have a cyst????

Hello all!

Hoping someone is able to give me some help here........

I’ve recently been in and out of the doctors getting tests as I have had really bad abdominal pains – everything came back ok. They never mentioned anything about maybe having a cyst but I’ve been doing some research on the interent which has made me think I MAY have one. When I was younger, I used to get my period then maybe not get it for another 2 months. It is more regular now at 21 years old but sometimes I still miss months.

I get bad stabbing pains at the very bottom of my stomach. I also always feel like I have bad trapped wind which has me in pain for hours, this is then followed by lots of gas. I have now noticed I have started to bleed quite a bit (I’m not on my period) and the toilet paper is pink when I am wiping .

Anyone give me some info or advice?

Thanks!! xx

These are a few of my rambling questions and suggestions.  Many years ago I had a "grumbling" ovarian cyst and the doctor kept an eye on it for about a year to see if it got worse or even went away on its own. I never had symptoms like yours, more like someone poking me in the side with a finger. I eventually had the cyst and the ovary removed.   As you are losing blood when you are not on your period it needs a visit to the doctor.  Are you sure it's coming from the front rather than the back, either way it needs looking at.  It could be that as your periods haven't been regular it's just an out of sync period. I used to get bad pains when I was on, could it be period pains?  It's good that you've had various tests and nothing has been found.  Another thought is, could you be or have you been pregnant?  Could it have been a miscarriage?  Maybe the pain and gas is just that, wind which can be extremely painful but the bleeding definitely needs sorting out soon. Just had a thought, back last year I was sitting in a cafe and suddenly felt very wet down below, when I had a look it was like I'd had  a very heavy period but as I was 68 and had a hysterectomy this couldn't possibly be it.  There was a tiny red slightly raised spot just up inside my vagina which the doctor had looked at  and said  it was nothing to worry about but a couple of days later it burst.  It was what's called a cherry angioma, a sort of blood spot, quite common apparently and when they are damaged they bleed A LOT!  I had to lie down for the rest of the day with a pad on  and it eventually stopped. Could it possibly be that?  Hope this helps.

For ovarian cysts, it has to be in the ovarian or attached to the ovary.  If you pain is only at the lower stomach, I am not sure if it is one.  Or it is a cyst of something else.  Did the doctor order an ultrasound for you?  That's the most basic test you could do.  I was told by my doctor that first do ultrasound, if nothing then proceed to CT scan and then MRI.  UIltrasound is actually enough to detect any ovarian cysts.  Have you go to see your ob/gyn?
