Hi, i have had constant abdominal and lower back pain and also pain in my right shoulder blade, with alot of nausea since December, when my tummy is pressed it hurts. I was sent to a gynacologist because the pain has been on and off for the past couple of years. I was told i have ibs and sent for a pelvic ultrasound which was clear. I have been keeping a note of my menstrual cycle and have noticed the pain is more intense during ovulation and when i am due and have my period. Do you think i have endo?? My next gynae appointment isnt until June.

    Hi,

Personally I think speaking to non medical professionals prior to a diagnosis as everyone has different experiences, feels pain differently and expresses themselves in different ways.

I'd keep your personal research to well established websites but rely on investigations not conversations.

Good luck, I hope you find relief soon x

It's possible but there are numerous other gynaecological conditions and speculation at this point may cause you greater anxiety; one way of determining if you do have endometriosis is via a transvaginal ultrasound (where they place the instrument inside your uterus) but the best way to determine or diagnose is via a laparoscopy or hysteroscopy. Good luck and the diaries do help I promise.

I have had endo for 10 years and had 8 laproscopies to remove it. I have always suffering with lower abdominal pelvic pain and alot of lower back pain. I ended up having to have injections in my lower back due to nerve damage from the endo. What the consultant found which me once they did a a laproscopy the found a large amount of endo hidden behind my vagina wall the size of an orange they also found i had alot of little cysts on my ovaries but they said thats nothing to be concerned about. However after they removed the wndo i was still suffering with alot of pain in stomach and back so i was seen in the colposcopy clinic they inserted dye and took biopsies the results came back i had pre cancerous cells known as CIN 1 and CIN 2 i had them burnt away and went back a few months later they repeated the test the cells were back again had them burnt again now waiting again. It could be worth mentioing about having a smear to see if there is anything abnormal going on or look it up on the internet aee if your symptoms are the same. I hope you get some answers soon ☺
