Do i have Fibro?

Hi,i am in a lot of pain,not sure of the cause,i do have arthritis,in both hips(1 has bn replaced) i also have golfers elbow & calcification on same elbow(awaiting steroid injection) i have previously had calcification in shoulder,feels like its coming back...my fingers are very stiff and sore,spesh in morn,most of my bones/joints feel sore 2 touch....any advice welcome Thankd

    I’m in the same boat as you however my symptoms of possible fibromyalgia are I already have oestiorthritis in knees neck back wrists ankles. I have little energy my mood can become extremely low. I can’t manage the day without a sleep in the afternoon!! 

    I saw my rheumatologist last week, he said he’s writing to my dr to express that it’s highly possible I have this.

    theres no specific test it’s a question of ruling out other things.

     Tell your dr theses symptoms and I’ve youve a rheumatologist raise your concerns with him / her as I’ve have it’s a question of lo9ing after yourself eating well, sleeping well relieving any stresses that ones mabe easier said than done!

      Hi Vicky,sorry to hear you're in so much pain,even tho i have arthritis,i have never saw a rheumatologist,i just attended orthopaedics for years,since they replaced my hip 2yrs ago,they no longer want to see me.

      Going 2 gp tomorrow,she's a good listener,but the waiting list on NHS is so long,i dont know what will happen! But i can't go on in this pain,i currently take 8 co-codamol & 3 ibuprofen each day,its not helping! Hope you have success with your GP x

     Hi PaulineI was wondering how you got on at your doctors today?.I can only take naproxen for my pain as I cannot have anything related to codeine so it’s exceptionally painful!I saw a rheumatologist last week and he says that  I have osteoarthritis not rheumatoid arthritis as was thought at first.I explain the other symptoms that I have Siri gave me a leaflet relating to fibromyalgia and he said it’s possible but I do have this as a present a lot of the symptoms.He is writing a letter to my doctor and myself so I will get a clearer picture.I  Really hope you can get some answers and get the ball rolling for whatever help you need.iPhone with my joints are particularly painful heat is the only thing that will help it so even in the summer I’ve got weak packs over my knees.Please let me Know how you got on.Take careVikki :-)

      Hi Vicky,my GP took blood to check for rheumatoid arthritis,she said i cant be referred unless bloods come back positive,get results next week.....I hope your GP is helpful....it sounds like its moving in right direction for you,tho they will need 2 find pain relief you can tolerate....my GP gave me Amitriptyline,will give it a go,see if it helps me sleep....keep me posted on your progress

      Hi vicky,i got a call this morn from docs,i've to have more bloods done on wednesday for,iron,folic & serotin...are these tests like to fibromyalgia? Hope you are well
