Hello im meggie im 26 from inverness for a few years now ive been overweight and tried so many things i just cant shift the weight. My fad is a personal trainer and is now training me every weekday. I also have a dog now whom i walk once or twice a day. I sit at my desk for my job 9 till 5. I have lost 9lbs in 3 weeks and enjoying training when i can physically do it. I have a little OCD so always organising something or cleaning. So im not lazy.so heres my symptoms...

I find it hard to sleep most days now. I fall asleep thru the day or after work as soon as i sit down or become no longer active i drop off

Feel stiff and old and struggle to get up in the morning

Every morning when i reach work at 8.30 i have constant brain fog and blurred vision sometimes until lunch time most days its all day.

Im quite fit considering i walk alot i dont drive but i struggle to walk fast. I walk 20 mins to work every morning and my shins hurt my feet feel stiff my left side above my bum aches badly.

If i take the dog on a long walk im knackered after like have to sit down for hours feel stiff and sleepy. Weekends we go to the beach for an hour or two walking slow throwing sticks and i feel like ive done an hour in the gym on a hard work out mode..i fall asleep after for 2 to 3 hours and feel exhausted for days

Recently ive had dizzy spells legs have given way im awake i dont passs out but i just find myself on the floor n get confused. Happened three times now

Periods . oh my god this is a sore subject. My cycles r 35 days...i dont know if i ovulate and my periods r so heavy. Pms is ridiculous. Sometimes find myself kneeling crying on the floor in pain.

Not to mention all the time i get shooting pains from my lady parts and up my bum uts random but get it daily

I have ibs and am dairy intolerant. Always bloated no matter what i eat.

Sore belly the day after sex but not during

I pee alot during the day and through the night i wake at least 5 times to pee

I feel constantly stressed lose focus and concentration and i have nothing to be stressed about my job is easy.i make good money. I love pretty good. But always feel like my head is stressed.

My pelvic area feels like someones out a balloon up me and blown me up.

Basically i feel old stressed tired and physically exhausted and stressed. I feel nauseous most days and always like i have the flu. Dad is my boss and complains as im off work often and he says..your always ill meggie. Its true. Sorry its a long post but would like to know if anyone else is similar. Btw im 5ft6 and 19stone

Hi meggiemoo1988 The symptoms you have mentioned sounds like fibro BUT their are alot of conditions that are all similar. It took me 10 years to get diagnosed with fibro and that was after many many tests lost count of blood tests. in the end my gp refered me to see a rheumatologist its they that diagnose fibro. after more tests to rule out rheumatoid arthritus he diagnosed fibro. You should see your dr write all your symptoms down and how your feeling whats been going on.and see what dr says. to get a diagnoses for fibro other conditions have to be ruled out and also its a rheumatologist that normally diagnoses fibro. fibro is based on pain constant agonising pain and throws loads of different symptoms at us. My advice is see your dr and go from their. take care

Thanks so much Kaz40 for ur reply. Yes i agree seems lile most diseases or problems have the same symptoms. I wil go back i have been keeping note. It makes me cry sometimes because i just want whatever i have to have a name so i can feel like im not crazy. My friends dont understand and my family just say its my weight. I understand weight is a problem.

I have already ruked out hormonal balance with blood tests, diabetis, pcos, have had ultrasound recently to check to cysts, doc says just muscle spasms due to weight which can be true but bloods all came back normal they checked for everything. I keep going back and going back and here the same thing. I feel like im due to come on my period all the time even tho im not and like i have the flu all the time. Some days id have a rly good daynid enjoy myself be out n about walk lots shop or go out dancing but the next day its like...ugh i feel so so ill. Xx

Hi Meggiemoo1988 For a proper diagnoses on fibro ask your gp to refer you to see a rheumatologist. he will do more tests the one I saw sent me for more bloods a bone scan and a pressure point test, their are 18 pressure points in total on different parts of the body I got the full 18. Weight gain happens in fibro our weight is up down like a yo yo. muscel spasams are a fibro symptom I get them in my back alot, also flu like symptoms is another fibro symptom. all the tests I had only 2 showed something blood test showed low in vitamin d and an mri showed arthritus in neck and lower back. all other tests came back normal which is what happens when you have fibro. ask your gp to refer you to a rheumatologist as thats the only way you will get a proper diagnoses. fibro affects your entire body from head to toe. from earache to chest pain sore mouth migrains headaches, tinnitus pain constant pain severe fatique difficulty sleeping hair loss memory problems speech problems. when we try to go out and do something fibro knocks you straight back. you can be in bed for days or weeks. over the last 3 years I have spent 6 months and over bedridden and needing carers as I couldnt walk poor speech. fibro affects us all differently on the severity of it. where treatment is concerned we are all different with that too. as what works for one wount for another. you must insist on being refered to a rheumatologist thats the only way you will get sorted out and a diagnoses. as for family friends they wount understand. the only people that do are those that have the condition. fibromyalgia isnt properly recognised or understood by many health proffessionals let alone the public. write everything down take list with you to gp insist on a referal.take care good luck

your welcomesmile hope they do refer you and you get a diagnoses. also while I remember stress worry makes fibro 10x worse also you have to pace yourself and rest in between doing things or you will suffer for it if you dont. please let me know how you go on take care
