Do I have herpes or molluscum contagiosum?

I had oral sex with the man I am seeing, twice and after three days of the second time we did it I came down with a crazy fever (39 degrees and higher), sore throat severe headache and some bumps on my vulva. Oh and yes at first it hurt when I tried to urinate. I had recovered from a stomach flu the week before and thought this was odd. (I only get fevers once or twice a year)

I got really scared and went to see a doctor and he said I have a throat infection and the bumps are molluscum contagium which is an sti but common in kids. He told me to drink a lot of water and take panadol...

After that I have done a lot of googling and I can’t help but think it is herpes as the symptoms match up. I have burned the bumps with apple cider vinegar and treated it with tea tree oil and am taking vitamins at the moment with a towel on head trying to cool down my fever. I have even asked the dreaded question to the man I am seeing in a polite way asking if “he has had any issues in that area before” but he surprisedly said “no!”

If anyone knows what this sounds like please let me know.

Hey, I'm so sorry to hear what you're going through. Molluscum will have a white core. I'm thinking herpes blisters would eventually pop and then scab over just like a fever blister on your mouth. Best way to find out is to go get checked for both kind of herpes.

They have a white core but scab over... 😞not sure what that means but thanks for the information. I am waiting for my lab results and not sure how to approach this man.

Try not to sweat it! Either way it's not the end of your life. I have experience with both. It will be okay.
