Do i have it

Can anyone help. I am in sooooo much pain. It is very severe and is the reault of muscles seizing up (at least thats my subjective experience.)

I started with pelvic floor seizing up two years ago

I have spent a fortune on physical therapy.

Now i have a painful frozen shoulder and my back constantly hurts

My neck keeps freezing up and my face muscles are tight and painful. I dont really have "tender points" in the way i read about. I have some disc bulging and arthritis in both cervical and lumbar spine. Pain has me almost completely incapacitated.

I am not fatigued in the least, although i do have trouble sleeping.

I have a weird coating on my tongue and it looks like the cilia are too long and my tongue is painful at times. I also get canker sores. All the mouth symptoms started 8 months ago.

I am 51 and was a healthy active trail runner two years ago.

I have been tested for everything under the sun... all negative

I am miserable. Im sure you gave all been here but i feel like life is over.

Thanks in advance for your inpressions

I'm so sorry for all your pain. I can completely understand. I'm 48 and have

been dealing with fibro for 11 years. I too was very active. I also have arthritis

and what I'm told is burned mouth syndrome. I always feel like I burned my

mouth on hot coffee or soup. My doctor gave me a mouth wash that has

lidocaine in it. It helps. It helps. My rheumatologist gives me muscle relaxers

to sleep at night. Unfortunately, I'm always fatigued. I like to lay in hot baths

with lots of Epsom salts. It relieves the pain so I can sleep better. I take 800

mg. of Ibuprofen and Tylenol arthritis to go shopping or get some work done.

Have you seen a rheumatologist yet? Or any other specialist? They can really

help with pain management. I hope that anything I've said can help. Take care.

I also wanted to mention that only my doctor could find my tender points. It

made sense when he explained it. Because I didn't even know what fibro was.

Thanks Anna. I really appreciate your kind words. I'm 11 years too.

I just started following these fibro boards. I never thought that it

would be so helpful to talk to others that are in the same boat.

    Hi All,

Thank you so much for your kind replies.  I just wish I culd figure it out.  I spend so much money on physical therapy thinking that I just need to sort out the muscle problem and I will be fine.

If I knew it was fibro I think I might save a lot of money.

Honestly, I"m terrified of the diagnosis, the idea that I would be in this much pain forever, never run another trail leaves me feeling pretty hopeless.

    Thanks for your advice.

Hi ouch. I know the feeling. Maybe you should see a specialist

like a rheumatologist and get a proper diagnosis. Just use the

money for a couple physical therapy treatments. At least then you

will know for sure. I went for physical therapy too. And just like

you said, way to much money spent for little to no relief. Feel

better. I hope you get your answers.

    Thanks Kathy

Ive been to rhumatologist and all he can really tell me is that my bloodwork looks good. No rhumatic or connective tissue problems. Negative for the big autoimmune issues. It leads them to fibro as a diagnosis of exclusion... but how do you really know 😩
