Do i have lyme disease? Advice please

Hello all

I'd appreciate your thoughts on my symptoms please. In the beginning of May I noticed this rash/ bite on the inside of my knee. It actually spread even bigger than the pictures and took weeks to disappear. Now I cant remember if I felt any flu type symptoms around this time, but about one month later i had awful neck pains. Around a week and a half ago I felt a numb sensation in my right foot. It has since got worse and I have a numb pins and needles sensation in my legs and arms. I do feel a bit achy all over and have an achy neck. What are your thoughts please? Thank you

    Go doc and have a blood test.  You will know in a week.   Lyme symptoms present in so many ways that anyone could say "yes" its Lyme.  And if if is, you need abx immediately so might as well get your doc to do a blood test.

      Thanks for your reply. Have seen the doc this morning and have had bloods taken, hopefully get more answers on why I feel like this. Thanks

    I have chronic Lyme Disease. I got bit several times, treated and it keeps coming back. But my first bout left me sick about a month or more later. I'd gotten many bites from mosquitoes and so did not check to see if one was a tick. My knees began to get stiff and I developed a low grade fever. Everything hurt and I was very stiff. A blood test did show Lyme so I was then placed on Doxycycline. I was OK for a while then got bit again and more antibiotics but even when I had no bites and was not in the tick area and in the city, my blood work would showed reactivated infection. I also had Babesia, another tick infection carried in certain parts of the country.

    Your best bet would be to get tested for antibodies and the Western Blot. The sooner it is treated the better the outcome. smile

      Hiya. Thanks for your reply. Since writing this post I have had all sorts of symptoms and things have got worse. I am waiting for the results of the lyme test and should get them any day now. I will keep you posted. Many thanks
