Do I Have plantar fasciitis? Symptoms

Posted , 5 users are following.

I'm new to this forum and was looking thru to see if I have this . It started to progress rapidly as the pain started getting worse. My pain is worse my first few steps out of bed, alleviated a little with rest but the more I walk the more my heel hurts. It's a sharp throbbing pain, so painful sometimes I can't stand it. I walk on concrete floors all day so that may be the issue.

Any thoughts ?

Hi Cindy. Im glad you're going to see s specialist. That's the route to take. Yes plantar fasciitis is caused by inflammation and tearing. Your pain being as bad as it is will not resolve with something from Walmart or Walgreens or Dr Scholls. You need to see a Dr. Good luck to you and please post what the dr say

    hi all

I went to my physio and i always felt warmth rather than ice cold helped. My physio totally agreed with me and said lots of the medical profession say rub your feet over a cold iced bottle. She said that does not work but heat does. Well it does for me but thats my own personnel preference. Im now got a lot of streach exercises to do and also was advised to rub your foot over a golf ball helps. Only been doing this for a couple of days but all good so far.

    update 10/30

Went to the foot specialist , I was diagnosed with plantar fasciitis. my fatty tissue measured at 7.2 ..its suppose to be at 4..so there was quiet a bit of inflammation. I got the dreaded shot ..pain was insane. It's been a few hours and my foot feels worse than before. is this normal? also Monica was prescribed and orhtorics. Have a follow up on over 20th. since I work on my feet 7 days a week 10 hours a day doctor did not do anything else or suggest anything. frustrated right now. Any thoughts??
