I agree see ur gp first. But I'm pretty much the same on a daily basis. I think I'm having a heart attack. And it's the brain sending the wrong message to ur body

I have been in exactly the same boat as you guys. If you've been checked out by your GP and he says your heart is fine then trust him cause anxiety feeds of your doubt if you're telling yourself there's a threat your body will prepare for it. It fills your body with adrenaline and cortisol so you can fight or run away, if you've had anxiety for along time I'm sure you know about this f or f response/sympathetic nervous system. Google symptoms of anxiety, and I guarantee the top 2 symptoms will be dizziness and palpitations. But please see your GP to rule out anything else. Best of luck pal. smile

The doc did an EKG and blood test and found nothing so do you think that's what it is?

Also just a quick one, I noticed that I was breathing excessively through my mouth, I was gulping in air sighing a lot yawning a lot, taking in far too much oxygen which was making me dizzy. Make sure you breathe in through your nose and out of your mouth, your oxygen and carbon dioxide levels will balance and you'll feel better.

It's so scary sometimes when this first hit me

Well I'm not a doctor only a doctor can diagnose you, but I've had the same symptoms as you, if your bloods are all fine and you have a healthy heart then mate.. It is most likely is anxiety. And I bet you're doing exactly what I did for like 3-4 months, trowling the Internet for answers to why you feel this way. If I have one bit of advice for you it'll be believe your doctor, not Dr Google! There's so many horror stories on the Internet.. I made myself so scared and anxious that I was having panic attacks all day everyday. I'd get a symptom and then cause I'd focus so hard on it I got bad muscle tension in that area which made me believe I had the mystery illness even more. So stay off WEBMD, if anything join an anxiety support group. If you don't believe your doctors diagnosis you can ask to see another GP in your surgery for some peace of mind.

      Stay strong man. 👏

I know the feeling man. Anxiety feeds off fear though. You just need to relax accept it for what it is and I'm sure you'll be fine. Contact IAPT or MIND for some Cognitive behaviour therapy. MIND are amazing.

No worries man, let me know how it all goes! One thing I'll say is anxiety makes all of your symptoms 10x worse, you notice every little change in your body you notice every skipped heart beat every muscle problem, but the key is to not worry about it. Just accept it for what it is mate. 👍

Yes, you do..but the problem here..seems to be your age...because Drs are very hesitant to issue anxiety medication to young people due to the rise in drug abuse in the world.

Not fair...but even at my age...I've been taking anxiety medication for 10 years..I'm 51...my Dr. still is uneasy prescribing it. sad

You can try what I did when I explained my anxiety and said I NEEDED some medication for it...and that it was affecting my life...my job...my sleep...my functioning.

I asked that he give me just 10 pills so when I felt that way....I could take one and promised never to abuse them and made a pact...that if I started asking for more...he just stop prescribing them!

Then I went to a psychiatrist a  year later or so...and the psychiatrist and Dr. knew I wasn't abusing them and it has come to me getting prescriptions for 3 a day now.

AND...at your age...they may try to get you to take an anti depressent..with an anxiety "component" in it...and THEY DO WORK...if you find the right one.  Some of the depression medication has medicine in it to curb anxiety as well...the one I take is Citalopram also called Celexa....has the anxiety component.
