Do I have umbilical hernia

Ive noticed a small that sticks out above belly button. It’s fairly hard and is only the size of a tic tac. I can only feel it when standing or sitting and it disappears when i lay down. There is no pain whatsoever and when i cough of strain the muscles the “lump” remaims the same and doesnt protude outeards. At first I was convinced it was a hernia but someone told me that it wasn’t since it doesnt protrude when coughing or through bowel movements. Just wanted to confirm thanks.

    Have you seen a doctor?  You will get a definitive diagnosis there.
