my tonsils have been red for two days and I’ve had a really bad cough, i’m kind of scared because it got red after I gave oral sex to my boyfriend, i’m hoping that that has nothing to do with it and it’s just tonsillitis or something, please tell me if you know!

I don't think it has anything to do with oral sex. It seems to me that you simply have a common viral sore throat.
Since your tonsils and throat seem quite irritated, I think it would be worthwhile to see your doctor and have him/her prescribe you some medication to speed up the recovery, if necessary.

You definitely need to get that checked out. It could be a yeast (candida) infection causing the inflammation in your throat as it look like your tongue is quite coated.

According to what I saw on your tongue, this could be a yeast infection. Do you feel any cotton like feeling in your mouth? if so it most likely is a yeast infection.
Get that checked out by your doctor. Online consultation could help too.
