Do pentasa suppositories work for you?

Hi,

Has anyone got experience of suppositiroes working when experiencing a mild flare?

I have just this weekend started a flare - albeit currently quite mild.

I have suppositories and i am currently using them but not sure if they will clear it?

I am trying to avoid going to steroids for as long as possible but not sure if the suppositories will completely stop a flare or i will inevitably have to go on steroids?

Thanks in advance.

    Hi Carrie,

I have found the suppositories to be very effective indeed when I've had a flare-up, but of course Rachelle is quite right to point out that we are all different and will react to medication in a very individual manner.

The only medication I couldn't get on with was the mesalazine foam enemas.

Here's hoping the your flare-up flares down very speedily.

With warmest good wishes and kindest regards,

    Peter A
