Do the blisters always burst?

Hi there. First time poster here, currently experiencing symptoms that could be herpes - but things don't quite add up!

Around 2 months ago I noticed a spot on one of my testicles, it looked like a simple spot and I assumed it was a blocked pore or ingrown hair. It remained the same size and shape and is still there today. Maybe 2-3 weeks later I noticed some other small pimples appearing on the same testicle and they have remained small (pin head) shaped but are not itchy sore or painful. They are still there.

Most recently, around 2 weeks ago, some smaller pimples appeared on my penis and have remained there since. Again there is no pain or soreness and they have not burst or leaked any fluid.

Around a month ago I came down with what I assumed was a cold, but it's taken a while to clear.

Out of precaution I have gone to a GP who said they look like herpes. I said that I've had them for weeks and months and haven't had any other symptoms of herpes, but he took a blood sample to test for herpes just incase, and prescribed me with some anti-fungal cream and anti-viral tablets (valaciclovir) which I'm taking twice a day (500mg each). I've been with the same partner for nearly a year and neither of us have had symptoms of herpes before.

Since starting the anti virals I've started to feel a dull ache in my groin, lower back and lower abdomen which I've not had before, as well as what felt liked swollen glands in my neck. I generally feel worse now than I did when I went to the doctors! Part of that could be stress related whilst waiting for the blood test results, but I also wonder if it could a side effect of the anti viral medication.

On one hand some of the symptoms stack up and I'm expecting the worst and for the result to come back positive. On the other though I wonder if it could be something else - particularly because the pimples have remained in their state for weeks now with no pain or sign of them bursting.

Has anyone had a similar experience or could shed some light on it?

Cheers!

      Hey Sdb009,

?11 months have gone by. Did you find out what you were dealing with was after all?

    (Male 24y/o)

I too show symptoms very similar to whatever Gjp123 has experienced, with small lesions around the lower end of my shaft, white in colour, and of a similar size if not slightly smaller. The first of these appeared a couple of months ago and I have had no irritation or pain from it. In the recent few weeks, I have gained several more (not particularly clustered however still on my penis skin). No pain, bursting or scabbing from any of them.

They look like herpes blister photos online, however also similar to Molluscum contagiosum. I have been fairly sexually active and often unprotected so have convinced myself of the worst outcome.

I have booked an appointment at my local sexual health clinic in a couple of days from now, and will update the thread of the outcome of my condition, as I was eagerly reading down to be disappointed when I found no conclusion.

      Hey john963,

?I hope your condition has not resulted in any bad outcome. But I see you have been the most recent person to post on here. I am hopeless that the original creator of this thread will ever provide us with a conclusion so I was wondering if you have any update from your end?

?I too show similar symptoms exactly the way you described yours. I have been to the doctors three times within the last month and all they say is 'it's not herpes'. However, I have been very unimpressed with the doctors' knowledge and approach on the subject.

I topcoat think I am experiencing the same thing although mine started out on my lower abdomen and began spreading downwards on my pubic region and penis shaft I have had them for maybe a month and a half no bursting itching or any other symptoms like that that would trigger in hpv I'm in the middle of exams now and will visit the doctor by the end of the week and will return with the outcome I have been sexually active and myself as thinking the worst but I think it may be molluscum

Sorry to hear you are going through this nightmare mate. Wishing you good luck with the doctors and I would appreciate if you could come to us with the outcome. Let's hope it's not hpv.

Yes, I had a similar experience. Had a  light colored rash. No pain on itch. Also had a bug bite.  The bite turned into a cyst that was drained but the rash became what they’re now calling shingles.  I was wondering if you could be having reaction to detergent?

Hi, reading this forum and looking at the pics I'm pretty sure that I'm experiencing molluscum as well. Any updates from any of you guys? I'm desperate since I've had it for 3 months now.
