Do these look like herpes blisters?

My husband and I had vigorous sex 4 days ago and pretty much ever since I have been itchy and uncomfortable in the vaginal region. I thought it was maybe from the sex being a little rough, but then these bumps showed up. I have previously been tested for HSV1 and 2 by blood test, not from a swab/culture. I am positive for Type 1 and am starting to believe I have it genitally, I have never had a cold sore. Just hoping someone can look and confirm my suspicions. Thanks!

The bumps look fluid filled on the right hand side, is this correct?

I do agree with Sindy get them swabbed ASAP before they pop and dry ...

unfortunately, with the COVID-19 situation my PCP is swamped and there are no other health centers nearby, even our health dept location has closed to the public. I do have HSV1 and think this could be what it is and just wondered if others thought the same. I was tested for all STIs less than 2 years ago and have had the same sex partner for 8 years, it is a faithful relationship. He has never had any HSV symptoms of any kind.

It is a very tricky situation I am afraid.
Would you happen to know if he has ever had cold sores on his mouth? I know you say he has never had HSV symptoms but just a thought

He has no history of cold sores. Thanks for your response.

Get it swabbed by a doctor before it pops and dries up

U can try going to an Urgent Care Center but the problem u may run in to is the swabs that is used to swab for herpes is the same swab used for the Covid19. Iam a nurse at an Urgent Care and right now we are very limited on herpes swabs and what we do have in supply is solely being used to test for Covid19

I figured I would update with a new photo from today. I am certainly starting to believe this is a herpes outbreak after seeing this photo. I cannot get in anywhere for an appointment. I will do my best to treat at home. It is very uncomfortable and I am feeling very down, but trying to remain positive.
If anyone has any advice for treating this while at home, I would appreciate it. Thanks.

Are you in any pain if not just let it take its course it will get better. You can try tea tree oil over the counter also get some l lysine supplements and take daily

They are only painful when I touch them or if I am really active. I've been trying to take it easy, made some padsicles and taking lysine everyday. Do you agree that it looks like herpes?

Hi there
How are you feeling today?
Just seen the updated picture you posted and it does look like herpes BUT I am not a Dr and its just my opinion. I know this does not help but I hope you feeling ok

I am feeling pretty good. The only reason I'm questioning herpes is because the itch began the day after the sexual activity. Another thing I did not mention is that I feel there may have been some cross contamination from the anal area...not sure if that would cause such a sudden onset of symptoms though.
Thank you for checking in. I appreciate it. I am taking it one day at a time.

There is no such thing as cross contamination that would cause blisters that pop from the anal to the vagina. If it happened immediately after it means something triggered it and you already had it or he gave it to you. Only way to know is via testing. If your negative and 4-6 weeks down the line positive it means someone infected you recently

Can a Herpes outbreak happen so quickly......?

I do not believe an outbreak happens overnight. It takes time for the virus to reactivate if I actually have it based on my prior blood test results. Those blood results may just reflect antibodies in my system.

Cross contamination is definitely a thing and can result in a yeast infection. Some yeast infections do cause blisters to form and bacteria from the anus can cause issues in the vaginal area by disrupting the pH.

Yes a yeast infection but not herpes. Thats what i meant to say that cross contamination doesnt cause herpes . Its caused by coming into contact with someone with the virus. So if you had an out break it means you were infected or you already had it. Something triggered it. Also I have heard of stories where women have had outbreaks the next day it is not unheard of. Eveyones immune response is different
