Do Trazodone (Oleptro) side effects go away?

Hi Everyone,

so I was suffering from insomnia due to health anxiety for the past two months, but slowly I've been recovering since! I have stopped taking Xanax, and started using Trazodone (25 mg dose only) the last week. Although, in the beginning it would not help me much, later it would help me with falling and staying asleep tremendously!

My only concerns are the following: although I do feel like I get a good sleep from it and I don't feel physically and mentally tired, I feel sleepy most of the day. Also my eyes hurt and my mouth gets dry. I read about these as common side effects but I couldn't find anything on whether these side effect subside in the future.

Do these side effects go away eventually? Also, feel free to share any experiences with this drug.

    Hi Tamas

They might go away as your body gets used to the drug, but they might not.

Trazodone is much safer than Xanax and if it were me I'd much rather be on Trazodone.

You can get moisturizing eyedrops, which I would advise because you don't want to get Blepharitis.

Hey Ben, thank you for your comment! I wait for a few days then. Good call on the eyedrops, I'll get ones right away in the morning.
