Do you need consultation for contraceptive Implant Removal? Is it easy to arrange?

I've had contraceptive implant for 3 months now. None stop heavy periods, pains, and tiredness, EVERY single day. Not a single day off. No sex drive, it's messed up my relationship and I hate it.
However it is VERY hard for me to get work off, as I work all day, every day. I have a couple hours free next week, so I wanted to just make an appointment, go in and get it out then go onto the pill asap.
Is it going to be that easy? Or will I have to make two appointments and have a consultation? (It is the same place I had it put in) I don't think I could do two appointments, my work is so hectic at the moment. I don't want to phone them and for them to say I need two appointments, and me to be like "oh sorry never mind then,"
Also I am terrified of doctors and making phone calls, The actual procedure doesn't scare me but making the appointment really does, and I cried and was on the verge of a panic attack at my last consultation because I hate being asked personal questions, so I really don't want another one.

When i got mine removed i had to make a consultation. I had called saying i wanted a nexplanon removal. They scheduled me in a week. I had thought i was getting it removed and then she tells me no i wont be removing it today so i paid for nothing and ended up getting it removed a month later 😒

That's so annoying, I don't understand why we need consultations if it's the same place we went before. And why can't we just talk to them over the phone to tell them what's wrong? Not sure I could cope another month feel so bad for you

Depends on what type of insurance your using. If it is a PPO you should be able to call in tell them your having problems and want to schedule to have it removed.
If your on an HMO you'll have to go threw the same process you did to have it put in most like. I would not put it off though in the event it is not just a non stop heavy period. Is it the copper one, or the hormone implant?

Sorry should have mentioned I'm in the UK so it's free removal and consultations. It's the hormone one. Thanks for your help, I've booked a consultation but really don't want to have to wait a whole month like the other girl did, poor thing
