Do your sores always hurt,sting, or itch?

I do have herpes and thankfully all of my outbreaks have been mild. typically just one bump in the same area. This time around I had a "sore" at the entrance to my vagina but there was no pain, itching, burning, nothing. So im wondering if it was an outbreak or something else. It also healed pretty fast as I was out of Valtrex. Most of my outbreaks last 2 weeks even with meds. Do all of your outbreaks mimic each other? do they all hurt?
