Do your symptoms come and go

Hi guys

I have Graves and have been on Carbimazole 20mg daily for 2.5 weeks. I have had days this week where I felt better and then back again to feel awful on others. Just wondering if that was normal.

Thanks

Hi Dean, same here , Graves and was started on 20mg carbimazole nearly 18 months ago.

2.5 weeks is too early to see any notable difference, in my case it was a month.

Did wonders for me, I’m now on 5mg and about to stop it altogether.

Everyone’s different, you might probably start seeing your heart rate going down, but it’ll take a bit to get your energy levels back.

      Hi Lara

Yeah I have noticed my heart rate has started to come down a bit but I am still lacking energy as you said. Most people are saying a month to see results and it can’t come quick enough 😊

      Thank you

I have been on carbizamole for eight weeks at 20 mg a day. I have seen no change in the way I feel. I have hyperyhyroidism and I'm seeing endocrinolgists tomorrow. My latest blood results have got worse not better ?

My TSH is 0.01 should be between 0.4 to 4.9

      T3 is 12.2 should be between 2.6 to 5.7

      T4 is 25 should be 9 to 19
