Aww Sadie, hope things start looking up soon hun.

I have tried so many tabs over the last 6 months I'm begining to wonder if the NHS is secretly using me as a guinea pig to trial stuff lol. I'm on Lyrica at the mo, but not seen much difference to be honest.

Hope your rheumy referral is speedy, I was referred about three months ago and have my appointment in Nov.

Anyway good luck with the new tabs, hope they help

    Gentle hugs hun x

Hi Hun there the same tabs as your on but to be honest I haven't felt anything yet ! Still have the pain and I've been told not to take my ametriptolin so not sure what I'm going to be like in the morning!! The gabapentin worked straight away so not sure really what mg are u on ??

      Hugs

I'm on 75mg twice a day. Doc told me to wean off of the ametriptaline when I started the Lyrica, so reduced the dose over 2 weeks. I don't see any difference but doc says it's trial and error - Just frustrating that you have to give tabs a couple of weeks to work and then do it all over again when they don't work and are changed.

Let us know how you get on

      xx

    Hi Sadie,

I was put on gabapentin and it did nothing for me at all, I have now been put on lyrica and it works sooo much better especially with the burning type muscle pain, I am also on amitriptlyn and still works good for me, I think it's trial and error what works for one does not always work with others!

I hope you find a combination that works for you! Xx

Forgot to say I am on 100mg x3 daily of lyrica and 100mg X1 at night of amitriptlyn, among other meds and they help me a lot!! I'm not pain free but they def take the edge off!! Best of luck Hun! Xx

Thanks Hun well I've just woke and all my pain is back but she told me to stop the ametriptolin! That first tab did nothing not even making me feel tired so unsure if it will work for me ! I'm calling docs today as I can't be in pain all day and unsure if I can take anything else xx

Hi Sadie, it's so hard isn't it, I was given the amitripilyn first as a muscle relaxant at night as the pain was waking me throughout the night 😞 but I also take cocodamol or tramadol at night too, I think it's the combination that works for me! I wonder why your Dr took you off it? If I were you I wld go back to your gp and see if he/she will try you on something else, best of luck Hun xx

Hi that's interesting as I have low iron as well. Three months course. Has anyone else on our site found they have low iron? Could account for some of the tiredness.

Good luck with the rheumatologist I've got my appointment December21st.

Gabapetin did the same to me and my husband. . I've now just started on a very low dose of Lyrica.  think I'm feeling more dizzy, but so far no wild experiences!  Pregablin is the same thing as Lyrica . . my doc said to start with a very low dose and work up to a higher one. . .so I'm taking 25 mg for five days, then doubling every five days up to 150 a day
