Doc prescribed boot, says wear 24 h/day, do I really need to sleep in this thing?

Anyone else sleep with a walking boot? Is it really necessary? Doc says I have micro fractures in my heel and the boot is to heal (no pun intended) that.

As in a splint? If so I've been using one for just under a month now and it's working wonders mate.

I'm not a medic and have only sometimes worn a plantar faciitis night splint.

The night splint probably does some of what the boot does, namely keeping the foot in one position and preventing any twisting or pressure which strangely enough can occur during a night's sleep.

Uncomfortable but probaly best to wear it all the time.
