You have to remember that these things do take time. And it's every chance you do feel more anxious before you feel better. I was on sertraline for years and to be honest swore by it. I have now started venlafaxine after trying to come off sertraline and my old symptoms came back. So I feel you with your anxiety just now. Always consult with your doctor though.

Yeah. Got right up to 200mg though and felt better after about 6 months.

Yes, I had those side effects and many more on Sertraline so in the end I gave up. I then started on Mirtazapine and other than sleeping non stop for the first couple of days I have been fine on them.

    Hi,

A side effect I have noticed with Sertraline is that it makes me feel dehydrated after taking and I now sweat very easily, which can be quite embarrassing. Unfortunately, I haven't noticed it having any real positive effect on my anxiety symptoms of head pressure & brain fog - am still really effected by these....

50mg daily for around 2 years. If I don't take the drug regular I start to experience strange brain zaps. I have had Neuro visit and MRI, nothing was found physically....

did 50mg help you with ur anxiety? ive been on 25mg for a week and my anxiety is worse, clenched jaw and sweaty feet. gotta up it to 50mg today. just want these side effects to go away

No it didn't seem to help, just made me sweat very easily. The only drug which I felt had any sort of benefit in reducing symptoms was Diazepam - however Doctors are reluctant to hand this out long term due to potential addiction....
