Ive been feeling rough all week . Still not sure if its a bug , but I thought theres no harm having a chat with my doctor . Anyway , I was put in with a nurse practitioner instead . I have lost my appetite and my stomach has been decidedly naucous . Now my throat and nose feel bad and I have a rotten taste . She did all the different general checks and were all good , then I mentioned about peri and menopause and she seemed to lose interest . I explained that I finished a period last week and gone nearly three months in between , so she said oh maybe it was that . Anyway I am going to have bloods done to check iron , thyroid and vitamins , but she added that it wont be done before christmas . So in all I feel that visit was a waste of time and Im still feeling rough and anxious

I have yet to find a doctor that has any clue about menopause. The female doctors are worse than the males. One told me i should see a shrink. I wanted to punch her. All they want to do is give you an anti depressant

The doctor you need to see is an endochronologist. I had seen all the other specialties trying ti find someone to validate me. All of these terrible symptoms and all of these doctors that say theres nothing wrong, all of tour tests are normal. The one doctor i hadn't seen yet was endochronologist. Guess what? FINALLY I had been validated! My hormones were so low that he said I WAS POSTMENOPAUSAL! According to the rules of menopause i am not, but according to my labs, I AM! The endo doc does way more testing than general practitioner. At this time I HAVE CHOSEN NOT TO GO ON HRT DUE TO THE FACT THAT WHEN YOU STOP TAKING THEM, this ride starts all over! GOOD LUCK TO ALL OF US!
