Doctor removes my both ovaries without consent

Hi all, I was actually confuse what to do and I found this forum.

I am 28 years old single woman from Indonesia. I feel pain in my lower abdomen and I went to see the obgyn, he said I have two cysts and I need to be operated to remove that. I thought, ok Im adult enough to do this on my own, so I sign the contract and scheduled the next day for the operation.

2 days after the operation, the doctor came in and tell me the lab result, it is cancerous and from his seeing it probably stage 3.

So after I settle my bill and packed to go back home, the doctor told me to visit him in his room. I sat down, accepting that Im going for a chemo, he told me that during my operation, when he sees the tumor, he was shock it was cancerous in his eyes, and he decided to take both of my "swallen" ovaries out. He tried to find my family and none there waiting for me. So he decided to do it based on his judgement. He left me with my womb and lymph nodes. He said I can take hormone replacement and has my menses still. He said the pathological lab test said both of my ovaries are cancerous.

I leave his room and I was quite p*ssed off. I then travelled to singapore and seek doctor there, seek more than second opinion, some said he do it wrong, because he should removes everything. But some said he do it right because I am young.

I brought the parafin block to test again in singapore hospital, and the result was only one of it is cancerous.

what I was wondering is.

- do you think he was wrong to take it in his own perception to do what he wanted to do on my body? eventhough he was right it was cancerous, but I think he should close it and tell me so I can decide what I want to do about it.

I am thinking if I can carry this to the court, but somehow I feel sorry for him if he loose his job. what do you think?

I'm sorry to hear this news. In my opinion, the doc did the right thing. He is trying to save your life. You now have a major fight ahead of you with chemo and so I would concentrate your efforts on that. Good luck to you'

How is it that the patholigical test in singapore showed that only one ovary cyst was cancerous and not both as what your dr said. You may need to go back to the dr who operated you and ask what is going on. Sorry to hear about your situation.
